| We�ve seen the testimonies and the power of God to a great measure. And here I am in my Christian walk after 10 years and I�ve still not seen much, so I ask myself �where is my faith?� And where is the faith of those around me. If those around don�t have the faith why stay with them. I haven�t found in all of our effort in ten years. So what are we doing wrong, and what do I need to do to find the right way. Now, I know that there are plenty of holes in this way of thinking. But all this left me upset and stagnet. So now it is my intention to get out of this rut. I�m going to do it through experience, through house church and through street ministry. I�m also going to hit the books hard and catch up on my studies so that I know what I believe and I know how to teach it. And I figure I�ll focus more on ministering than anything else, then I�ll settle up with my reservations later. After I help some people. I�ve spent too much time worrying about doctrine and church and �the right way to do it� that I�ve forgotten about the people. So it�s back to the basics�again� 1-30-05 Hey, What�s up!! Well, it seems that I still haven�t sent you my letter yet, but that�s ok, I have better ideas for all this text. You�ll see. Anyway, today is Sunday and I woke up at 6am this morning. I went to the store and tried to use my phone card to call you and it said I had 3 minutes for this call, it�s a $5 card that I haven�t even touched yet. And then it wouldn�t connect me, I tried it 4 times, so that sucked so I thought that I would write you some more. Last week was a really busy week for me. Monday at work Jeremy came up to me and asked me if I wanted to go to Longview for 2 or 3 days. And I said yes. Not less than a week before that I had gotten a call from Jacob(the area manager that hired me) offering me a position in Longview as the accounts rep. But this wasn�t the management training thing. And when he offered it to me I declined it and said that I wanted to stay in Sherman. So when Jeremy asked me if I wanted to go down there for a few days I asked him if this was a sneaky way of getting me down there. So I went to Longview Monday at 6 just after work. I got there about 11 and I was just chillin in the Motel Super 8!!! I�m not really sure why they sent me down there. Saturday, the last working day before I left for Longview we got 12 new cars in Sherman that had not been washed or anything yet so we were already swamped. But collections were down in Longview so Jacob arranged it for me to go. It�s more money for me so I said �sure, why not�. After getting down there Jacob called and asked if I like Longview and I said it was pretty cool. (It reminds me of Tyler and Tulsa put together). By the way it�s about 20 minutes out of Tyler, that�s probably why ?. So anyway, then he asked if I still wanted to come down there to be the accounts rep. I told him that I�d think about it and then talked to him again before I left back for Sherman on Friday. Thursday afternoon Dean called me. Dean is now the Area operations manager for North Texas. Jeremy and Car-mart felt that Jacob was just too far away, he only made it in to help Jeremy 2 days out of the month and that was just not enough. So they assigned someone closer which was Dean. Dean has been with Car-Mart for 15 years and is very good at his job, doesn�t micro-manage, and it more down to earth. |
