Final Fantasy VIII Weapons
Characters:
Weapons - The Heart and Soul of Battle
Weapons are once again back in Final Fantasy VIII as they have been in almost every Final Fantasy game. They will once again aid you tremendously in battle and become stronger as you get stronger. Seems similar right! Wrong... big time!
In Final Fantasy VIII, getting weapons is much different. This time, you must upgrade your weapons into new ones using rings, spikes, fangs, and blades that you get from enemies during battle or after modifying cards. To do this, simply walk into a Junk Shop and meet the necessary requirements for each weapon (along with a fee). You can read about new weapons in a magazine called "Weapons Monthly". However, getting better weapons means getting more rare items. Better weapons increase your Strength and Hit Rate.
Some characters, like Squall, gain new Limit Breaks when they upgrade and get new weapons. I don't explain what weapons here though, sorry! Try a link in my links section!
