The history of Saudi Arabia was foremost in this pavilion's presentations.  As an Islamic nation, exhibits explained how history has changed ancient commercial roads that linked the Middle East with Europe, Africa and Asia into modern Islamic pilgrimage routes.

Other exhibits explained how modernization can be achieved without detriment to fundamental Islamic beliefs.
