They think their friend should be able to take care of him or herself. They think that their help will not be wanted, that their friend will become upset by their intervention. They think their friend will continue to go back to an unhealthy or abusive relationship. There is always the question of what will happen if you do something. But the bigger question is, what will happen if you don't? |
