| Druid Sticks
(A recently modern form of Geomancy) (from John Michael Greers Earth Divination Earth Magic) |
| Druid Sticks are four oblong pieces of wood with a single mark on one side and two marks on the other. When they are cast, or gently thrown, they create one of 16 possible combinations depending on which side of each stick is on top. They are read from the casters point of view with the stick nearest being the bottom stick of the arrangement.
There are beautiful Druid Sticks available from New Age stores but it is better to make your own just like Runes. Druid Sticks are simple to make. All you need are four oblong sticks about 3 to 6 inches long and one half to three-quarters of an inch wide. |

| On the other side of each stick paint or wood-burn two lines |
| Next all you need a casting cloth of about 18 inches square |
| To use the Druid Sticks, prepare an area for reading. If you have a cloth that you use for your Tarot deck, it can be used for the Druid Stick reading.
Hold the four Druid Sticks in your hands. Mix them together and meditate on your question. Blow gently over the sticks and cast them onto the cloth. Keep one hand covering the sticks while you align the sticks into neat rows. By observing the patterns created by the lines on each of the sticks, you will receive your answers. |
