FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PANZERLAND*

What is Micronationalism?

As the name implies, micronationalism is the game/hobby/way-of-life based on creating and living in small nations. It has many levels, from people who treat it as a role-playing game to people who are dead serious about seceding from the United States or elsewhere as soon as they get enough military might to back themselves up. Panzerland falls in between. We have no real secessionist aspirations and follow all United States laws, but we do try and maintain at least a tenuous grip on reality most of the time. All micronations are looking for new immigrants who are interested in contributing something to the community, and Panzerland is no exception. If what you see in this guide seems interesting to you, please consider joining us.

What is Panzerland About?

Panzerland is mostly about having fun and enjoying the hobby of online micronationalism. While we take our politics and international relations seriously, Panzerland has no real desire to secede from the United States nor attain actual statehood, as nice as that would be. We utilise the internet as our communications medium and as the territory in which we situate our state. If you enjoy a healthy mix of simulated politics, fictional cultures and a healthy dose of good old fun, then you'd enjoy Panzerland, cause that's what we're all about.

Are there any other real countries in circumstances similar to Panzerland?

Panzerland exists within another state...so do the Navaho nation and the Channel Islands.
Panzerland is not recognized formally by the United States... neither are Taiwan or Tibet.
Panzerland is not (yet) a member of the United Nations...neither are the Cayman Islands or Palestine.

Am I Obligated to Anything as a Citizen?

Not in the least. Except, if you're a citizen of more than one micronation, not to share all of our secrets. That'd spoil all the fun. ;-) Other than that, the only thing we ask citizens to do is actively participate in our community. All real money costs are usually handled by the Kaiser, unless donations are made. And citizens do not violate any home laws nor are they responsible to Panzerlander laws in real-life. Our laws and rule only extends to the community our citizens share and in which it is expected of people to treat everyone fairly.
