chapter 06
Riley and Chloe sat down in the restaurant in the hotel looking over some thing's for the next few days. Riley saw Johnny enter and gave him a smile and a little wave. Johnny stopped at there table and set down the papers in his hands.
"Hey girls" Johnny said.
"Hey Johnny. How's it going?" Chloe asked.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that" Johnny said.
The girls knew exactly what he was talking about. Riley did something he did not noticed but Chloe did.
"We usually don't talk about to anyone" Chloe said sternly.
"Were just skimming the surface. Sorry we're not the talented. We can get rid of them in one night. But Chloe is right. We don't talk about this with anyone" Riley said.
"We actually would be breaking the law if we did because these are classified documents" Chloe said.
"Oh, in that case keep the information to yourselves" Johnny said.
"We can give a progress report of good or bad though" Riley said.
"Thank you" Johnny said.
"No problem" Riley said and smiled at him.
"Can you girls come to conference room two with me? I would like to meet the other girls" Johnny asked.
"Of course" Chloe said.
Chloe and Riley picked there things up and walked behind him. After walking for a while on that floor they was the conference room. Johnny opened the door and both girls saw three girls setting at a long table.
"Johnny! What's going down?" One of them asked.
Johnny and the two girls had a seat at the long table. Chloe and Riley felt like they were back at the agency waiting to be briefed.
"Nothing too much Carmen. I just wanted to introduce to two new girls joining us. Riley is JC's new assistant and Chloe is Justin's" Johnny said.
"What happened to Madison and Emily?" Carmen asked.
"They left for personal reasons" Johnny said.
"Oh" Carmen said.
"Rebecca, Carmen, and Chantel meet Riley and Chloe" Johnny said.
Chantel was the first one to stick her hand out to introduce herself.
"Hi, I'm Chantel. Welcome to the madness we call a tour" Chantel with a laugh at the end of her statement.
Riley and Chloe shook him hand and thanked her. Rebecca was the next one and really didn't say much to the girls. Carmen was last to shake there hands and said hope you enjoy it as much as they do.
"All right. I'll see you girls in about thirty minutes when the guys get down with some interviews. Then we will head to lunch" Johnny said.
The girls hung back in the conference room for a while. Chloe agreed that all the girls were beautiful. Rebecca had chocolate brown hair with deep blue eyes. Her hair came to her mid back. Had a beautiful face structure. Carmen had curly black hair that went to her shoulders and brown eyes. Her cocoa skin went perfect with her features. Chantel was gorgeous. Her sandy golden blond hair and her light blue eyes made you look at her. Suddenly a cell phone rang and the three girls looked at the direction of the ringing. She noticed that it was Riley.
"Hello" Riley said into the device.
"Jones where are you?" Jacob their Chief asked.
"In a conference room?" Riley asked confused.
"Are there others?" Jacob asked.
"Yeah four" Riley said.
"All right. I'm going to tell you something and you can only repeat this to Chloe. This is very important. If someone found out I'm making this call I will be fired" Jacob said.
"What's going on?" Riley asked concerned.
"Shit here they come. Fuck!" Jacob said angrily into the phone.
"Jacob, what's going on?" Riley said urgently.
"Just watch everyone's bank accounts all right? I have to go before I get caught" Jacob said.
"Will you tell me later?" Riley asked.
"Yes, Look for an envelop label 'spread sheets' in there is what I was going to tell you. Someone will meet at Jackson and Brookhart at 12:00pm" Jacob said.
"All right" Riley said.
"Good luck Riles" Jacob said with a smile on his face.
Riley heard the dial tone in her ear. She pulled the phone away and was smiling.
"What's going on?" Chloe asked with a look of fear written on her face.
Still smiling she answered.
"I dunno yet. He called me Riles" Riley said.
Chloe rolled her eyes "I knew he had a hugh crush on you."
"Shut up!" Riley said and hit her in the arm.
"Sorry, I forgot you have someone" Chloe said.
"Girls" they heard from the door.
They all turned and saw Dre at the door.
"The guys got done early. We're going to go eat now" Dre said.
All the girls grabbed there things and followed Dre out. Chloe looked down at her watch and saw that it was all right 11:30am. Were had the time gone? She shrugged her shoulders and followed closely behind Riley. The entered the lobby shortly and saw the guys conversing among themselves.
"Its Chloe!" Chris yelled as she walked towards him.
Chloe stopped right were in front of him.
"Oh shit! She's gunna punch you Chris! Watch out!" Joey yelled.
Chris acted like he had a white flag and waved it in front of her face. Chloe's face broke out into a smile and put her arm around Chris.
"Your safe Chris. I only hit people like Justin" Chloe said.
"Ouch" Chris said.
"You better watch that mouth Johnson" Justin said.
"Well, at least he knows my last name" Chloe said.
"Chloe, watch it" Riley said.
"Same to you Justin" JC said.
"Sorry Mom" Chloe said to Riley.
"Sorry Dad" Justin said to JC.
"Not funny" Riley and JC said together.
Everyone started to laugh at them and soon the Riley and JC joined them.
"Let's go to lunch" Lonnie yelled at them.
Everyone ordered themselves together and went in the same cars as before. Justin and JC talked to each other and Riley and Chloe did the same. Riley noticed that the restaurant was on the corner of Jackson and Brookhart.
"Perfect" Riley thought.
They quickly filed out and were seated in a back corner area shut off from the rest of the restaurant. The ordered there drinks and Chris sparked up a conversation.
"So did you girls have a good vacation?" Chris asked.
"Yeah, if you call three days a vacation" Carmen said.
"A day off is a vacation to the guys" Chantel said.
"True" Lance said.
Riley checked her checked her watch which said 11:50. Riley tapped Chloe on her right leg and flashed ten at her. Chloe nodded and the girls turned there attention back to the conversation in front of them.
"So how old are you Riley and Chloe?" Chantel asked.
"I'm 21 and Riley is 23" Chloe said.
"Awesome. Were the two of you friends before you came here?" Chantel asked.
"Yeah. We meet back in the sixth grade" Chloe said.
"Please don't say it that way. It makes us sound like were dating" Riley said.
"Oh sorry I forgot your still sensitive about people knowing about us" Chloe said.
Everyone including Riley cracked up laughing.
"Umm can anyone read this menu?" Joey asked as he looked at everything in French.
"What Joey you don't know the language of love?" Chloe said.
"Oh I like you" Chantel said.
There waiter entered and asked everyone if they were ready to order.
"�tes-vous pr�t � passer commande?" He asked.
"Oui, j'aurai le cerveau du veau avec de la sauce � citron du c�t�" Riley spoke.
"Whoa!" Joey said.
"J'aurai la m�me chose" Chloe said.
"Whoa! They both know it" Joey said.
"Does everyone just want what we have?" Chloe asked.
"Umm sure" Lance said after looking at everyone and they all nodded there heads yes.
"Chacun aura le cerveau du veau" Riley said.
"Toute autre chose?" He asked.
"Aucun qui est tout pour maintenant" Chloe said.
He nodded and walked off.
"How do you know that?" Joey asked stunned.
"College" Riley said.
Riley looked down at her watch and saw that it was 11:58pm. She looked over at Chloe.
Chloe mouthed 'Is it time?'
Riley nodded her head at her.
"Could you excuse us for a few minutes" Riley said as she Chloe stood up and walked out of the back.
"Merci" Riley said as the doorman opened the door.
"Votre Bienvenue" He said.
Riley walked to the corner of the street. Chloe watched the restaurant to make sure that no one came out and saw what they were doing. Riley grabbed a pack of cigarettes and took one out for her. She placed the cigarette in her mouth and put the pack in her purse. She reached behind her and took hold of the lighter in back pocket. She placed her left hand around the cigarette and lit it. She pulled it out of her mouth after breathing in deeply. She let the toxic smoke out of her lungs. She looked around for the person after putting up her signal of who she was. Riley spotted the person she was looking for. It was a man in a business suit with a manilla envelop in his hand. The royal blue suit made Riley sure it was who she was looking for. He approached her and handed her the envelop.
"Datilografe seu texto aqui" He said.
Riley dropped her cigarette on the ground and stepped on it to put it out.
"Obrigado" Riley said.
The two people went different ways. Not saying another word.
"Lascia per andare" Riley said.
Chloe started to follow her into the restaurant.
"There gunna see you have something that you didn't come with" Chloe said.
The doorman opened the door and Riley thanked him again. The girls sat back down at the table and saw the food coming. No one noticed the new item Riley came back with.
"Appr�ciez" He said after giving everyone there food.
"What did he say?" Joey asked.
"Enjoy" Riley said and poured a little of the lemon sauce on her food.
"It looks wonderful" Justin said.
"It is wonderful" Chloe said taking a bite.
Everyone surprisingly ate all there food.
"Riley wonderful choice. That was delicious" Lance said.
'If you only knew what you ate you wouldn't be saying that' Riley thought.
"Your welcome" Riley said.
"Are you going to tell us what we ate?" Carmen asked.
"Sure. If you wanna know" Chloe said.
"Compliments au chef pour un d�jeuner merveilleux" Riley said to the waiter as he walked pasted.
"Naturellement" He said and walked back to the front of the restaurant.
"So what did we eat?" Carmen asked again.
"Calf's brain with lemon sauce" Riley said getting her things ready.
"WHAT! I Ate what!" Chris yelled.
"Ewwwww! Gross!" Carmen yelled.
"Well, you all seemed to enjoy it when you didn't know what it was" Chloe said.
"Guys and Girls. It was wonderful. Thank you Chloe and Riley for letting us try something new" Johnny said.
"Typiquement Am�ricains" The waiter said as he gave Johnny the check.
Chloe and Riley started to laugh.
"Oui, oui ils sont" Chloe said.
"Ils ne comprennent pas la grande cuisine" Riley said and the three laughed together.
"You so know there laughing about us" Joey said.
"Of course they are Joey" Chris said.
"Ayez une bonne journ�e ! Au revoir !" The waiter said.
"Au revoir!" Chloe and Riley yelled as they got pulled out by Chris and Joey.
