chapter 07

Riley and Chloe sat down in the car. Riley tore opened the envelope. She wanted to know what was going on. She was extremely nervous to see what was going to in the envelope. She pulled out the papers and saw nothing on them. She looked at all three in there. Blank. Riley was starting to get worried. She looked over at Chloe who had the same look on her face. When they returned to the hotel the girls ran to there room.

"What is going on? Why are they all blank?" Chloe asked.

"I don't know but I'm going to find out" Riley said and pulled out her cellphone.

"Chief" he said into the phone.

"What the hell is going on?" Riley yelled into the phone.

"Did you get the papers?" Jacob asked.

"Yeah and there all blank" Riley said.

"What?" Jacob said.

"That's exactly what I said" Riley said.

"Something must have happened. I wrote down everything that I needed to say" Jacob said.

"Well, I certainly did not get it" Riley said.

"Do you think they found out?" Jacob asked.

"I won't think so. They trust you Chief" Riley said.

"Do you think someone intercepted the transfer?"  Jacob questioned.

"It could have. Chloe and me will find out what's going on" Riley said.

"I'll call my contact again and you will meet in an thirty minutes" Jacob said and hung up the phone.

"What are we doing on now?" Chloe asked with a sigh in her voice.

"We are going to find out what happened with those papers" Riley said.

"Oh goody" Chloe said.

"Shut up" Riley said and grabbed Chloe.

They walked down to Johnny's room and knocked on the door. They waited patiently for someone to answer the door. Johnny opened the door and let them in.

"What can I do for you girls?" Johnny asked.

"We need a car or someone to take us somewhere" Riley said.

"I would rather give you a car because I don't want anyone to question this later" Johnny said.

"Thank you" Chloe said.

"Just wait here for a minute and I will get a set of keys for you" Johnny said.

He walked to the phone and dialed the numbers he needed. He talked for less then thirty seconds.

"Someone will be here soon. You girls speak my languages I would assume for your job?" Johnny asked as he sat back down in the plush blue chair.

"Yeah. You at least have to know two. Well, Riley and me know about ten" Chloe said.

"Wow. You girls really helped us at the restaurant. I knew it was French but I didn't know you needed to speak French" Johnny said as he his forehead crinkled.

"If you go to an upscale restaurant's you usually have to know the language" Riley said.

There was a knock on the door and it startled the girls and they opened there purses to pull their guns out. Johnny opened the door and grabbed something from them and closed the door again quickly.

"Here you go" Johnny said handing Chloe the keys.

Riley grabbed the keys from her hands.

"Hey!" Chloe said.

"Last time you drove we got into an accident. Thanks John!" Riley said as she and Chloe left the room.

"Doesn't mean I will do it again" Chloe said trying to grab the keys.

"No, it means you WILL do it again" Riley said and pushed the down button for the elevator.

Riley and Chloe continued to argue until they got into the car. Riley drove over to the same place before and parked behind a car to somewhat hide themselves. They still had ten minutes before they had to meet the transfer person. Riley looked over at Chloe trying to figure out if she would do okay. Letting her go out by herself. Riley knew Chloe had to grow up in the agency soon. Why not now.

"Chloe your going to go out and talk to him. You have to drill him or her. I'll read there body language. Put this ear piece in and I can talk to you" Riley said and handed her the ear piece.

"Thanks Riles" Chloe said putting the piece in her ear.

"Oh and Chloe don't speak English. That way if someone is listening it will take a while for them to figure out what you are saying" Riley said.

"Okay" Chloe said opening the door and climbing out.

She walked to the corner and waited.

"They should be coming a second" Riley said to her.

A second later the same man as before in the navy blue suit came back to the corner.

"� ci un problema?" He asked.

"S� ci �. Le carte che eravamo suppongono per ottenere non erano che cosa abbiamo ottenuto. Che cosa � accaduto?" Chloe said to him.

"Li ho dati che cosa ho ottenuto." He said.

"Bullshit" Riley said.

Chloe heard what she said and was about to continue when she heard Riley again.

"The fucking papers only went through him. He did not get them like that" Riley said.

"Eravate quello unico per contattare queste carte. Cos� dovete fare loro qualcosa con. Che cosa vostro dirmi � merda pura" Chloe said.

He signed heavily. Chloe knew that they usually don't cave easily but it looked like he was. He pulled something out of his back pocket. Chloe tensed as he grabbed something. He pulled out a business card and flashed it at her. Chloe widen her eyes as she saw the logo.

"COA" Chloe said.

"Ci� � chi lavoro per" He said.

Chloe froze. She didn't know what to do now.

"Ask him why he is does transfers for Chief then?" Riley asked.

"Perch� allora fate i trasferimenti con la vostra sporgenza?" Chloe asked.

"Abbiamo usato essere amici, ma allora ho cominciato lavorare per loro. Uso le informazioni quelle lui sents me per intercettare i vostri programmi" He said.

"That bastard. Fucking using us for is own benefit. No wonder all our plans went bust down here" Riley said.

"Resteremo in contatto con voi. Non provi e non salti la citt�. Io ritrovamento di scopata di volont� voi" Chloe said and walked away from him and back into the car.

"We won't have to keep in touch Chloe" Riley said as she pulled out of her spot.

"He's going to get killed" Chloe said.

"If he is telling the truth he will" Riley said.

Riley thought about it for a while. Something wasn't right.

"Something is up" Riley said.

"With the guy?" Chloe asked.

"With everything. He won't give up that easily" Riley said following where there man went.

"Maybe he was sick of being there" Chloe said.

"No ... that's not it" Riley said.

"How do you know?" Chloe demanded.

"They get a lot more luxury's as us. Many agents have felt to go to the COA just because of that. Shows you how shallow some people can be" Riley said.

"Really?" Chloe said shocked.

"There he is. Grab him quick and throw him in the back seat" Riley said.

"What! Why?" Chloe asked.

"Either you do that or you drive. What is it going to be?" Riley yelled at her.

"I'll drive" Chloe said.

Riley sped up and got to the end of the block and stopped. Just incase he deiced to run. Riley hopped out of the car as Chloe climbed over to the driver's side. Riley walked on the sidewalk towards him. He was about to pass her but Riley but her arm out and pushed him back.

"Excuse me" He said.

"Don't go Charlie. I need to talk to you" Riley said.

"Riley I ain't got fucking time" Charlie said.

"Oh you got all the time in the world" Riley said.

"Look I told you what I know. What the fuck do you want from me" Charlie said.

"More. I know you know more. We use to be partners Charlie. I know how you work. Don't try and pull this shit that you don't know anymore" Riley said.

"What do you want me to do. Get killed!" Charlie yelled at her.

"Come with me" Riley said and grabbed him arm and pulled him with her.

"What the hell do you think your doing" Charlie whispered loudly to her.

"My job" Riley said and opened the door and threw him in the back.

Riley climbed into the passengers side and told Chloe to go back to the hotel.

"Pull into the front?" Chloe questioned to her.

"Yeah. He's going to be civil and walk in like a human being" Riley said.

All three walked into the hotel lobby. Riley saw Johnny and told Chloe to go up to there room.

"Hey Riley" Johnny said.

"Hey, can I talk to you alone?" Riley asked.

"Sure. Excuse me" Johnny said to the others he was with.

"What's going on?" he asked as they were alone.

"No one is allowed to come on our floor. Something is going on and it could get alittle messy. I don't want anyone around there" Riley said.

"Okay I will put a bodyguard at the elevator doors and they can just make up a story if someone ask why" Johnny said.

"Thank you" Riley said and walked to the elevator door.

She waited for them to come down to her floor. Finally the ding rang through her ears and waited for people to come out. Went she looked she saw JC and Lance.

"Hey boys" Riley said cheerfully.

"Hey Riley" Lance said.

"Where are y'all headed to?" Riley asked.

"Some where other then here" JC said.

"Sounds fun. Don't have too much fun though without Chloe and me" Riley said and hopped in the elevator.

"We could probably go without bodyguards because of Chloe!" Lance said.

Riley laughed and shook her head as the evelator doors closed on her.

Chloe pushed Charlie into the room.

"I see you like it rough" Charlie said eyeing her up and down "good to see the force put some new meat on the team."

"Cut the shit" Chloe said pulling out her handcuff.

"Like i'm going to just sit here and let you put those on me "Charlie said.

"Yup" Chloe said walking over gracefully.

Charlie backed up some.

"Look we can do this the nice way or the hard way. Either way I can do it in heels" Chloe said.

Charlie made a move for the door but Chloe grabbed him and threw him on the floor. His face was down and she had his left arm around his back when Riley came in.

"And you wonder why Chris is scared of you"Riley said.

Chloe cuffed Charlie and stood him back up.

"Well, don't we just look refreshed" Riley said to Charlie.

"Fuck you" Charlie said to her.

Chloe threw him down in a chair by the balcony.

"The faster you help us the faster you get to leave. Remember that" Chloe said.

"Thanks there Princess" Charlie said smirking at her.

"Cut the crap all ready. What's the deal?" Riley asked.

"You think I'm going to give it up that easy?" Charlie said to her shocked.

"Well, I was going to be nice about it but I see you would rather have it a different way" Riley said.

Riley pointed a bag. Chloe went down to the bag and grabbed out a device. Chloe quickly saw Charlie's eyes change.

"That thing can kill you" Charlie said.

"I know, isn't it great" Riley said getting in his face.

"Riles" Charlie said in a worried tone.

"Yeah you remember when I had to use this on you. This is little things helped me figure out you were the rat in the CIA" Riley said smiling at him.

"It's a marvelous tool" Charlie spat back at her.

"Were glad you agree" Chloe said.

Chloe quickly set up the instrument and turned the power on.

"Now is where I have all my fun" Riley said smiling evilly at him "Now watch closely Chloe so you know what to do."
