chapter 05
~Chloe's Point of View~ I looked around at the maze of people in front of me. It was amazing to Chloe that all these people dedicated there lives to five men. But then again she did dedicated her life to the agency. She hopped that with the large crowds always around it would be hard to pick them out and discover who they were. It was more then likely they had to run into one of these people in a mission. There had to be just one. I followed Riley over to Melinda who handed us our folders for the day and then smiled at us. "Riley that outfit looks so good on you" Melinda said. "Really? Thank you Melinda" Riley said and smiled. "No problem" Melinda said and walked off to where Johnny was. "She forgot about me! Don't I look good in what I'm wearing! Come on!" Chloe thought to herself. "Chloe! Chloe! Chloe this is Houston do you copy" Riley said waving a hand in front of Chloe. Chloe batted her hand down and gave Riley a funny look. "Lets go into the restaurant I see Chris and Justin over there" Riley said and grabbed Chloe's hand and pulled Chloe with her. Chloe saw Lance with his cellphone planted on his ear nodding his head to whatever they person over the phone was saying. Lance looked up and saw her and gave her a little wave. Chloe smiled at him and gave him a wave back. Chloe noticed on the way there how many times they got stopped because someone was in love with Riley's outfit. COME ON! She is not the only one here people! The restaurant was quite relaxing. The hunter green painted walls were soothing. The dimmed lights made it feel down key and relaxing. "Hello gentlemen" Riley said taking a seat next to Justin. "Good morning ladies. First day on the job and I'm going to make it a living nightmare" Chris said while rubbing his hands together in an evil gesture as Chloe sat next to him. "We don't work for you Chris" Chloe said. "Oh yeah that's right. Justin make it a living hell okay?" Chris said to his fellow band mate. "Is he okay? He looks like a semi just killed his dog" Riley said. "I'm fine. Thank you" Justin angrily. "Okay then" Riley said. Justin looked over at her and he could tell immediately that there was just something about her. He could not stay mad at her for what she had said. "You look beautiful today Riles. Love the outfit" Justin said. "Why thank you kind sir" Riley said. Chloe suddenly frowned when someone had forgotten to mention her into this picture again. "Chloe what's up with you outfit looks like you got dressed in the dark" Justin said with an annoyed tone in his voice. Chloe looked up at him to see the biggest grin on his face. "Well, at least I can pick out my outfits and not have someone dress me and tell me what to wear because I've seen what you have wore on television and someone needs to fire whoever is dressing you" Chloe said. Justin mouth dropped open. Chris and Riley started to laugh at the expression on Justin's face. Chloe could tell he was not expecting her to shoot back at him. "Oh that look on your face Justin was priceless" Chris said starting to laugh again as he thought of that moment. Justin shot her a dirty look and Chloe only smiled knowing she had gotten him. Soon Johnny walked in with Lance, JC, and Joey. After discussing the events for the day they headed out to do a radio interview. Riley and Chloe stood up to only here 2 guys whistle at them. "Hot damn! JC you wanna switch me assistance? Riley won't mind" Joey said as he came up behind her and put his hands on her hips and walked out with her. "Joseph you have a girlfriend! Keep you hands off my women!" JC yelled up at him. Riley and Chloe laughed all the way to the SUVs. Chloe, Riley, Justin, and JC hopped in one with the others climbed into the other two SUVs. Justin and JC climbed into the back part while Riley and Chloe sat up in front of the two men. "Why you ladies look amazing today" JC said. "Why thank you sir" Riley said and looked back at him a smile. Chloe was about to thank JC herself when Justin quickly cut her off. "Don't say anything Chloe. You can't dress" Justin said. "JUSTIN!" Riley yelled at him and turn herself half way around and slapped him on his leg. "Ouch! Jesus Christ that hurt women" Justin said. "I just wanted to thank him. Okay get out of my god damn grill" Chloe said. JC started to laugh and Justin quickly looked over at him and gave him the death stare. JC tried to hold back his laughing but he couldn't help it. Chloe knew this would be the worst mission for her. They couldn't get along. She thought that maybe she could talk Riley into switching her. So what that my outfit today sucks. I'll show them tomorrow. I even joked about it with Johnny last night. He said if we needed anything to just let him know and we would have it ASAP. I asked for a knew wardrobe. It sometimes is a good thing to light up the moment and crack a joke when you are in a job like this. "Were here!" The driver yelled to them. Chloe looked over and noticed that there was about a couple dozen girls there with signs and cameras ready for the guys. Riley opened the door and we filed out first and waited until the guys exited the car and closed the door and we stood behind Mike and Lonnie there two bodyguards. After about 10 minutes Riley squeezed between the two bodyguards and handed a confused JC a pen to sign a poster with. "Thank you Riles" JC said. "Your welcome" Riley said and smiled and started to walk back towards Chloe. But JC quickly caught her hand. "Where are you going?" JC asked. "Back with Chloe" Riley said with an unsure look upon her face. JC smiled at her, "Is it time to go in?" he asked her. "You've got five more minutes" Riley said. "Thank God for you Riley or I would be so late for everything" JC said. "Even with me you are late to everything" Riley said. She heard a few fans giggle and JC looked at her with a glimmer in his eyes. "I'm gunna make you late one day" JC said. "Make Riley late? You'll be dead before you could even say late" Chloe said as she and the others started to make there way into the building. "Can we cut with the late jokes all right? I haven't even worked for you less then twenty-four hours and that's all I hear" Riley said as the walked in to the baby blue lobby. Johnny lead them all to a waiting room area. It was nice it had two black leather couches and a glass coffee table in the middle. The green carpet really stood out. Riley and Chloe both took a seat on a sofa when then the guys got called into the radio interview. Johnny and Melinda hang around for a few minutes but did not stay long. "Today before the meet and great you girls will meet the other assistance. Because we have a few days of vacation they all went home and visited family. When the interview is over they guys will be coming back here" Johnny said before he left. Riley and Chloe were left alone in the room and they listened into they guys interview which came over the speaker from the ceiling. They asked all the usual questions about Britney. Of course the 'do you have girlfriends' came up and they talked about the CD and tour. The girls did crack up at some of the things they said. The girls soon hear laughter in the hallway and saw they guys come in with a blonded haired women. When she came into view the girls could not believe who they saw. "Well, well well look who we have here" the blonded haired women said. "Yeah like I'm thrilled to see you too Sasha" Riley said and stood up. "And you even have your sidekick with you. How cute. Do you always do everything together?" Sasha said in an annoyed tone. "How do you girls know each other?" Joey asked. "High School" Chloe said with a sigh. "Yeah Miss. Valedictorian I don't see you doing great things for yourself. Where is your company you were going to be running and then shoving it into my face? Now you work for them? Geez talk about becoming a lazy ass" Sasha said. "Well, I don't see you doing the same either, but silly me I forgot that you were the class slut. Remember 'Sasha the slut'. At least I got the grades and at least me and CHLOE can stand on our own two feet without having to sleep with some guy to get money" Riley said. Chloe felt extremely unsafe between Riley and Sasha something see never felt before. Chloe looked over at the guys and saw them in a state of shock still. "How dare you insult me here at my work. Just because both of your dad's work for the government and have more money then I do doesn't mean I'm afraid of you. Both of you and your daddy's can shove this government of yours up y'alls asses" Sasha said. Chloe looked over at Riley with anger in her eyes. She saw the same look in Riley's. Chloe saw Riley give her a little nod giving her clearance. Chloe turned her body towards Sasha and clapped her fist to together and with all her might decked her on her right cheek. Sasha quickly went into the wall with a hard thud and slid down the wall. "Woah!" All the guys yelled. "How dare you insult us! Don't even bring my parents into this" Chloe said with her fist still clapped together at her side. Sasha was about to say something. "Don't even speak a word or I'll be all over your ass" Chloe said. No even noticed Johnny walk in the room. "Holy bloody hell what happened here?!" Johnny yelled. "Chloe just decked her!" Chris yelled with excitement and started to jump up and down. Johnny looked over at the two girls and they mouthed 'sorry' to him. Under different terms he would have fired them but how could he fired CIA agents? "Lest just get out of here before only links them with you guys" Johnny said and ushered the guys and girls out of the room and station quickly thanking people as they walked out. They all entered the same cars as they came in and quickly speed off. When Riley and Chloe entered the car Riley slapped hands with her. "I've been waiting for that day for a long time" Chloe said. "Me too sister. Me too" Riley said and smiled over at her. "Damn Justin you better not piss her off or you'll be Sasha over there" JC said and hit him in the arm. "Whatever" Justin mumbled out. He was impressed by Chloe's punch but it didn't intimidate him. Much of the ride home was Riley and Chloe talking about high school times. JC just listened in to get to know. "So we get to meet they other girls today. So what are they like?" Riley said as she turned herself around to JC. "Well, Carmen Nelson is with Lance and she is an amazing girl. She is very independent. Chantel Adams is with Chris and she is the compete opposite of Chris so its great to watch them work together. Then there is Rebecca Meyers and she is of course with Joey. She is quiet, likes to keep to herself, but a very sweet girl once you get to know her" JC said. "I can't wait to meet them. Its amazing you know all there names" Riley said with a smile on her face as she laid her head against the window. "Hey now! But don't worry you two will fit in just fine" JC said and smiled at the two girls.
