chapter 04
Chole, Riley, Justin, JC, and Lance all hopped into one van and Chris, Joey, Casey, Matt, and Johnny hopped in the other. The two girls chatted a bunch with Lance. It was hard not to like Lance. He was the southern gentlemen. Suddenly someone's ringing was heard in the van.
"Oh God its momma!" Riley said and flipped her phone open. "Hi momma" Riley said.
"I thought you were gunna call me when you landed?" Mrs. Jones yelled.
"Momma I was gunna call you when we got to the hotel don't fret over it" Riley said when talking to her mother Riley's southern accent started to shine through.
"Still you had me worried" Mrs. Jones said.
"I'm sorry momma but I'm fine" Riley said.
"HEY MOMMA J!" Chole yelled into the phone.
"God girl, Yes I would enjoying hearing in my right ear so don't fuck it up okay" Riley said to her.
"Watch that mouth girlie and tell Chole wad up dog!" Mrs. Jones said.
"My mom says wad up dog?" Riley said.
"Nuthin much J-dawg!" Chloe said into the phone.
"So you two wanna talk?" Riley asked.
"No, I wanna talk to you. Do you think you will enjoy this new thing?" Mrs. Jones asked.
"Its not a thing momma its called a job. You know making a living. Yes, I think I will. I've got Choler with me I'll be fine" Riley said.
"Just be careful and watch out for her too" Mrs. Jones said.
"Momma you know I can take good care of myself. You and daddy didn't put in self-defense classes for nothing" Riley said and Chloe laughed.
"That was a hootin' good time" Chole said.
"All right then. I'm going out with Karen tonight so have fun. I'll call you tomorrow" Mrs. Jones said.
"All right momma. I love you so much and I'm sorry I had to take this job and not vacation with you" Riley said.
"Its all right baby momma understand. I love you and miss you. But I know I'll see you soon. Bye sweetie" Mrs. Jones said.
"Bye momma" Riley said and hung up the phone. "Now I'm sad" Riley said.
"It's okay I miss my mom too" Chloe said.
"Where are you from Riley?" Justin asked.
"I was born in Brooklyn lived there for about 16 years then moved down to New Orleans. Why?" Riley asked.
"I heard that southern accent come out in you when you talked to her" Justin said.
"Oh then you should hear her talk to her dad then. Pure Brooklyn accent comes out of her. Freaks the shit out of me. She's like 3 people" Chloe said.
"I am not. Okay well maybe I am" Riley said.
"Does you dad know?" Chloe asked.
"I didn't talk to him but I left him message telling him I was" Riley said.
"What does your dad do Riles?" Lance asked.
"He is a stock broker. He works for Cantor Fitzgerald" Riley said
"Oh he works in the World Trade then right?" Lance asked
"Works on the 105th floor of tower one. It's beautiful at night. When we got there I'll show you it. I have a lot of other family members who work there. My aunt Ruth she works for AT&T. One of the uncles' works at Commerzbank Capital Markets he is in tower two thought. Nice office on the 32nd floor. I have more but we would be talking about this forever. All my dad's family live in NYC and most of my momma's does too and about everyone works there. Chloe has some family that works there too" Riley said laughing.
"So I'm sure you went to the towers a lot?" JC asked.
"Almost everyday. I loved the hustle and bustle of the city. I know those buildings like the back of my hand" Riley said and then looked out the window remembering the times with her father and her family before she got thrown into this life.
"When are you going to call your dad?" Chloe asked.
"Tomorrow knowing my dad he is all right in bed and fast sleep but when we get to the hotel I think I'm just gunna crash and get some well needed sleep" Riley said.
"What time do we need to be up in the morning?" Chloe asked them.
"We usually meet at 7:30 so however long it takes you to get ready. Just be on time unlike this one here and you should be fine" Lance said and looked at JC.
"Yeah yeah I know Lance" JC said.
"That should be fine. Riles here is Miss. Punctual we will be on there on time" Chloe said.
"Maybe you could make JC come on time then" Justin said.
"Oh she will you don't want to see her or be near her if you are threatening to make her late. Oh lord I had a run in with her on that. I almost didn't make it alive" Chloe said and she laughed with the rest of the guys.
"Okay okay, sorry I like to be on time. It gives a good impression and everything runs better when you are" Riley said.
"Yeah yeah I know it all to well" Chloe said.
Chloe and Riley's hotel room

"Here put this over your head" Riley said.
"A ski mask? These are so 1999" Chloe said putting it over her head. Riley just shook her head and tied a rope to the balcony and pulled on some gloves then started to descend on the rope. Chloe did the same and they hopped into the car that Johnny got for them.
"I feel like a criminal" Chloe said as she looked down at her black stretch pants and her black long sleeve shirt.
"Get use to it women. I been dressing like this for 5 years now" Riley said.
"Where are we going?" Chloe asked.
"To the venue were they are performing in. We have to set up cameras everywhere" Riley said.
"No sleep tonight?" Chloe said.
"No sleep tonight" Riley said.
Shortly the arrived at the venue and grabbed there backpacks from the back. The parked about 10 blocks away. The city was lit up and everyone seemed to exiting clubs. They were not going to blend in with everyone. Ally ways and dangerous roads were chosen instead. Finally the venue Chloe and Riley quickly headed to a gate. Riley and Chloe dug into there backpacks to get things ready. Riley put the alarm detector up. Two green lights. 'Thank God' Riley thought. Riley nexted grabbed the ACB turning the alarm off. Chloe came in front of Riley and played with the lock for a while until it came undone. They next grabbed there thing and closed the door behind them. They grabbed the walkie talkies and put the ear piece in and walked there spearte ways.
"Leave no area unseen by the cameras" Riley said.
"Copy" Chloe said and started to get to work.
3 and half hours later
"Red hawk I have something unusually over here in the rafters" Chloe said.
"Need inspection" Riley said.
"Father inspection is needed" Chloe said.
"Copy Blue bird" Riley said. She left from one of the many back rooms and started around the corner.
"Oh shit" Riley said and run into a room.
"Red hawk problem?" Chloe said.
"There is someone here" Riley said.
"You serious?" Chloe said.
"Dead" Riley said and slowly grabbed her gun from her hip. She walked out the door slowly and say no one. She heard footsteps behind her. She turned around sharply and saw a man there.
"Riley Jones.. Watch where you point that now you don't want to end up dead. You shouldn't be here. What would the guys think?" He said.
"Davidson?" Riley said.
"Oh good your somewhat smart. I knew you people were coming after me. Why people are even calling me an endangerment to the American people. I'm even on the FBI 10 most wanted people. Oh better tell your partner Chloe she better get away from the box" Greg said and quickly disappeared.
"Code Red. I repeat CODE RED" Riley said running after Davidson.
Chloe was swinging upside down from the rafters when she heard the call the quickly slide down the ladder and ran to where Riley told her where she was. She quickly pulled her gun out and continued to run.
"Abort Abort" Riley yelled into the walkie talkie.
Chloe heard Riley and stopped. Then Chloe heard Riley talking to herself. "Dammit. I could have gotten him and gone home"
"Red we better get going if we want to be on time tomorrow or you could say today, plus we better get out of here before the sun comes up and we still have to check the cameras" Chloe said.
"All right but I want to check that thing up in the rafters. Davidson said something about that. Its probably a bomb for all I know. Lets check that first, then grab our things next we will run to the van then head to the hotel so we can get ready" Riley said.
"Copy. Meet you in the rafters" Chloe said and walked back to were she was before. Riley meet her shortly up in the rafters. Chloe checked the box and for sure it was a bomb set to go off in the middle of the guys concert.
"God he's got enough explosives in here that the blast could probably be felt in New York. Which one do I cut?" Chloe said.
"Chloe you know which one to cut. You're not going to always have me around Choler. You need to make your own decision" Riley said.
"But what if I cut the wrong one. It would be my fault and everyone would be dead" Chloe said.
"If you cut the wrong wire your going to get blamed but not punished because you would be dead too. Now cut the blue and yellow ones and lets leave" Riley said. Chloe careful cut the two wires and saw the bomb turn off. Chloe sighed out loud and whipped her forehead.
"Your scared of a bomb yet your okay running into a room with no bullet proof vest and 10 guys with guns shooting at you but you can't deactivate a bomb? You need some help" Riley stated.
"Shut up" Chloe said. They quickly started to grab there thing as they saw the light of the day start to creep into the horizon. The run to the van went smoothly and the quickly headed to the hotel. They did not speak the whole time. They both were in deep thought of what the hell they were going to do. The easiest mission they got was now looking like to be harder then they had planned. The set date to get out of there was 3 weeks. They had only had 3 weeks. Chloe pulled the van around back and parked it and they hurried to there balcony and climbed back up the rope. Riley undid the knot and pulled the rope back up.
"I'm going to get into the shower and start to get ready for 'work' all right?" Chloe said.
"Okay since you take forever to get ready. Its the best idea" Riley said.
"Sorry that I must look beautiful all the time" Chloe said.
"Um sorry to burst the ego but you don't now" Riley said. Chloe looked down at herself and turned to look in the mirror and make an 'ewww' face.
"But they couldn't tell who I was because I had to wear that 'mask' or whatever you call it" Chloe said.
"Oh shut up and get into the shower already" Riley said. Riley heard Chloe mumble something to herself and close the bathroom door. Riley sighed deeply and fell onto the bed. Riley lazily pulled the cellphone from her back pocket and dialed the chief's number and dragged the phone to her ear. It rang twice and he picked up the phone.
"Thomas" He answered.
"Chief it's Jones" Riley said.
"Ahh Jones how was your first night of no sleep" Chief answered.
"Oh it was so wonderful. I cannot wait to do it again" Riley said.
"I'm surprised you are not use to it by now. What 5 years now or something?" Chief said.
"Grrr something like that. No, my body will never get use to it. We all need sleep chief" Riley said.
"I know. Well, I'm sure you are calling up an update. The camera's are all working and we saw the little run in that you and Morgan had. No big deal Jones not everyone can get someone the first day. I know you will have him but a week in. If you continue doing what you have done on other operations. Nothing to lose a head over" Chief said.
"Thanks for trying to make me feel better but you failed. Sorry back to the dog house. I just want to see my momma and my father again and I got pulled on this and you know I'm pissed and I just wanna go home" Riley said.
"Jones I put you on this because I knew you could get it done fast and that's all I want to do is make this go away. I put my trust in you to get rid of it" Chief said.
"Thanks for the trust but I have this feeling I'm gunna be here longer then I want to be and whenever that happens we are here for like 3 months not weeks" Riley said.
"Jones just do what you were taught to do and you will do fine. I have a meeting to get to. Your on the road this time have some fun Jones" Chief said.
"I'll try to. Have fun being you" Riley said. She heard the chief laugh and then the dial tone.

"Do you think she will find out?" the man said.
"She will sooner or later and I'm gunna have to explain it to her why I couldn't tell her she in something way over her head" The dark haired man said hanging up the phone.
"She can't know yet" the man said.
"Yeah because leaving her in the dark is better. Now watch my best agents gets killed because this damn agencies is not sure he is someone he may not be. Pure egotistical. Now if you can excuse me I have a meeting to attend to" The dark haired man said and walked out of the office he was in.

Chloe looked over her outfit one more time before her and Riley had to leave. Her knee length black shirt and her bright red sweater looked professional in her eyes. Her hair was up in a clip and just put some light make-up on. No need for it to be heavy she was just working. Chloe saw Riley come out of the bathroom in a dark green skirt that was shorter then hers and a white long shelved zip up shirt with a black tie. Her raven hair was half up and curled everywhere. Damn why does she always looks better then me no whatever what I do or what I wear.
"You ready?" Riley asked.
Chloe broke from her daze and shook her head yes. She looked over a the alarm it was 7:25. They grabbed there purses with there guns, badge, money and whatever else they needed. Chloe grabbed the room key and the both girls headed to the elevator. It seemed like an eternity to get to the elevator. Riley pushed the down button and they both stood in silence as they waited. Finally the ding of the elevator ran in there ears then the doors opened to the small box. There was no one in the elevator and slowly the doors closed them in. She noticed that Riley checked her watch then the looking up at the lighted numbers. She saw it hit Lobby and then the doors to the compartment opened and now the show could begin.
