Josh sat on his bed with a notebook and pen in hand, writing in his journal.

�Mmm�� Amanda moaned softly.
Josh looked over at her, she had a small smile on her face.
�Ok now she�s moaning in her sleep and she has a smile on her face. Let�s hope she�s dreaming about me, hehe�
�Mmm��She moaned again.
She�s got to be having a good dream. She keeps moaning. Well anyways, lately me and the guys have been really-
�Oohh�Josh�� She moaned.
When Josh heard that he stopped and his pen ran down the paper, leaving a huge line across the paper.
�Mmm�Josh, that feels good.�
He sat up quickly. �Oh My God!� He said quietly.
�Ooo�lower.� She said
His eyes got wide.
�Mmm�� She kept moaning.
He got up and did a little dance. All of a sudden the phone rang, scaring him and he fell on the bed. Waking up Amanda.
�Huh�Josh?�
�Yeah baby, it�s me.� He picked up the phone. �Hello?�
�Hey C, don�t forget we have that interview this evening.� Justin said
�Ok thanks for the reminder.�
�Bye.� Josh hung up the phone. He turned his attention back to Amanda. He ran his hand across her face.
�You sleep good sweetie?�
She smiled, �Actually yes.�
�Oh really?�
�I had a really good dream.�
�About what?� He asked curious.
�Do you give good massages?�
�I guess why?�
�Cause you did in my dream.� She smiled
He laughed.
�What�s so funny?�
�You were talking in your sleep.�
She covered her mouth, �Are you kidding?�
�No�you sounded like you were having sex. Then you said my name and I was like oh my god!�
�Ah!�Oh gosh!�I�m sorry.�
�It�s alright, you don�t need to apologize.� He kissed her forehead.
She smiled. �What time is it?� She asked.
Josh looked at the clock. �8:30.�
She stretched his long frame.
�So�what�s the plan for today?� Josh asked
�I don�t know? What are you guys doing today?�
�No guys today�it�s just me and you. What do you want to do?� He asked lying next to her.
�Really?�
He nodded.
�I don�t know? Do you have any ideas?� She looked at him.
�All I want to do is spend time with you.� He smiled.
�Aw�you�re so sweet.� She cupped his face, leaning in and kissing him.
�So what are you doing for your birthday?� He asked
�That�s a good question. I�m not sure. I might go back to San Diego to see my Daddy�depends on what happens in the near future.�
�Oh, well what do you want for your birthday?�
�You don�t have to get me anything.�
�Yes I do, you�re my girlfriend. I�m supposed to�now what do you want?�
She laughed. �I don�t know? I�ll have to think about it.�
�Ok, if you don�t decide soon I�ll just get it myself and I might end up getting you a Sony Play Station and play on it all the time.�
�You just decide what you want to get me, okay?�
�Alright.�
�So what ya gonna get me?�
Josh chuckled. �You�ll have to wait.�
�She sighed. �O-K!�
�Now that we�ve decided that, what do you want to do today?�
�What�s there to do around here?�
�Uh�we can go out to eat, I think there�s a amusement part around somewhere�but that would be too crowded�they have a swimming pool here at the hotel.�
�Hmm�I feel like swimming, I haven�t been in a while.�
�Ok, let�s go!� He sat up going into the bathroom to change.
�Someone�s a little excited.� She laughed.
After Josh finished in the bathroom, Amanda went to change also.

The two walked downstairs and to the pool. The pool was empty. Just as they set their stuff down, 4 girls walked in and they automatically saw Josh. They walked over to him, asking for autographs. He politely said yes.
While he did his thing, Amanda took off her shirt and shorts, exposing her two-piece black bikini. Josh looked over the girls� shoulder and saw Amanda in a bikini, stepping into the pool. �Oh My God! She looks fine!� He thought to himself.
He finished signing autographs, taking off his shirt and joining Amanda in the pool. The girls giggled and whistled when he took his shirt off, he just ignored them.
Amanda swam towards Josh. �Took you long enough�how was you date?� She asked
He laughed. �Sorry�all they did was giggle and stare the whole time.�
She moved closer to him. She put her arms around his neck and he placed his hands around her waist under the water. She heard the girls gasp.
She whispered into his ear. �I feel we�ll have an audience this whole time.� She sent chills down his spine.
�Oh well�we can keep them entertained, who cares.� He leaned down, softly kissing her neck. Her whole body was on fire. She heard the girls gasp again.
�I swear if they keep doing that I�ll go slap �em all.�
Josh laughed into her neck.
��But maybe we should be careful. Someone might walk by and see us like this and we�ll both be in trouble.�
�We�ll just tell them we were drunk.�
She laughed. �Shut up.�
JC looked up at her. �You know what?�
�What?�
�Have you ever wondered how it feels to kiss someone underwater?� He asked her quietly, staring at her the whole time.
She smiled. �Uh�maybe, but-�
�But what?� He cut her off, getting closer to her. His lips inches from hers.
She looked down at his lips then to his eyes. Back and fourth. Before she realized it she found herself underwater kissing Josh. It seemed like forever until they stopped. When they surfaced, they both gasped for air.
After Amanda could breath again she said, �That�was interesting.�
�Yeah it was�so, ok what now?� Josh said
�Let�s play Marco Polo�we can play with those girls I know they�d want to.�
�Ok. Hey girls would you like to play Marco Polo with us?� Josh asked
�Yeah!� They all said jumping into the pool.
They all introduced themselves.
�Hi I�m Jessica.�
�I�m Amber.�
�I�m Trista.�
�I�m Laura.�
�Nice to meet y�all�of course I�m JC and this is�my girlfriend�Amanda.� Josh said, he looked at Amanda, she smiled. The girls said hi to her.
�We didn�t know you had a girlfriend JC?� Amber said
�Well not many people know, we�re trying to keep it on the down low�ya know what I mean?�
They nodded.
�Ok let�s play.�
�Who wants to be Marco first?� Amanda asked.
�I will.� Josh said
Amanda laughed. He looked at her.
�What?�
�Nothing�go ahead. Spin around and close your eyes.�
He did just that. The girls scattered all around the pool. Trying to keep from him.
�Marco!� Josh said
�Polo!� They all said
He strained his hearing to listen from Amanda�s voice.
�Marco!�
�Polo!�
He heard her. Swimming over to her.
�Marco!�
�Polo!�
He got closer and closer. Catching her around the waist just before she got away. He opened his eyes seeing her.
�Your turn.� He grinned.
�You did that on purpose?�
He smiled.
They continued to play the game for a little while longer. Then Josh and Amanda had to go.

1 week later.
November 27th. It was Amanda�s birthday. There was a knock on the door. Amanda walked over to the door. She opened it seeing Eve standing there.
�Hey.� She said
�Hey�can I come in?� Eve asked
�Sure.� Amanda let her in.
�Happy Birthday Junior.� She handed her a small box and gave her a hug.
�Thank you.� Amanda closed the door. The two went inside the room. Amanda sat on the bed and opened the gift.
�That�s from Daddy and Murphy.� Eve said
�Ok.� She opened it. It was a candle. One of those jelly candles and it had a little beach in it. And on the side of the candle it said �Happy Birthday Junior!� There was a note inside the box.
�We know you love candles and love going to the beach. So we decided to get you this. Sorry we can�t be there. But know we�re thinking of you and have a wonderful day sweetheart! Love, Daddy and Murphy.�
�Aw how sweet. I�ll have to call them and tell them thank you.� Amanda said
�Here�this is from me.� Eve handed her and even smaller box. Amanda opened it seeing a necklace. She picked it up. It was a locket.
�I should have given this to you a long time ago but I couldn�t find the perfect one for you.� Eve said
Amanda opened the locket and saw a picture of her and Eve when they were kids. She smiled. And on the other side was a picture of their mother. Amanda�s eyes became watery.
�Thank you so much Jo. I love it!� Amanda gave her a hug.
�Your welcome�look I�m sorry for being mad at you because you wouldn�t tell me something. You have the right to keep whatever you want to yourself. But you that I�ll always be there for you.�
�I know. I love you.�
�I know ya do. I love you too.�
�Well I think this is the perfect time to tell you�but you cannot say anything. You promise?�
�I promise.�
�I think I�m falling in love with Josh.� Amanda said
�What?�you what- are you serious?�
�Yes. We have been going out for a while. Almost a month and I feel so strongly about him. I�ve tried to ignore the feelings because I know I can�t get involved�but I couldn�t stop them. And I�ve been going insane not being about to tell anyone�please don�t be mad.�
��I�m not. I�m excited for you. You seem so happy�But Manda I�m not trying to be the mean older sister but you need to be careful, really careful. If Matthews finds out about this, you could lose your badge and I know you don�t want that to happen. So watch what you do and where. Don�t be too distracted, you need to keep your mind on this case.�
�I know. Thanks for the lecture though�I�m just kidding.� Amanda laughed. �Thanks for the reminder, really.�
�Always here to help. So what are you doing today?�
�I don�t know?�
�Well I have to go, Justin wanted me to go shopping with him again.�
�Alright, thanks!�
�No problem�oh one more thing.�
�Yeah?�
�Is this you and Josh thing serious?�
�I don�t know? Maybe?�
�You do know you�ll have to leave when the case is over?�
�I know�that�s what I�m scared of.�
�I�m sorry, I wish I could help.�
�It�s alright...Oh before I forget. Last week I got a letter from the stalker." Amanda stood up and got it out of the safe.
"Why didn't you say anything about it?" Eve asked
"I was trying to link it together all week, but I can't figure it out."
"Where did you find it?"
"In my suitcase."
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, I can't think of who the hell could possibly get into the bags, that would be a suspect."
"You want to question the drivers and others?"
"Yeah. Tell Dad about this and see what he says. Tell me later."
"Alright, I got to go. I'll call you later. Happy Birthday."
�Thanks!� Amanda gave her another hug before she left.

Josh walked into the hotel room. Amanda was sitting on her bed watching tv.
�Is this what you do for your birthday? Sit around?� Josh asked
�I guess.� He came over and gave her a quick kiss.
�Well we�re going to go to dinner tonight.�
�Really?�
�Yeah�start getting ready cause it�s kind of far.�
�Okay.� Amanda got her suitcase and went to the bathroom to get ready.
It�s about 8 and I�m just sitting here in my hotel room that I�m sharing with Amanda. I have nothing to do�I was thinking of writing a new song�Amanda look so beautiful and peaceful sleeping, she�s angelic. Last night I took the risk and slept in the same bed with her. She didn�t seem to mind, just a little paranoid. It felt so good to hold her in my arms all night�
