"So..." Addie and I sat in the car in uncomfortable silence once again. Man she was pretty. "So, is your boyfriend coming over for the premiere?" I asked her. Very strategic move on my part. I'll get to hear it straight from Addie she doesn't have a boyfriend, then I'll get to take her to the premiere and won't have to take Grace and we'll get back together.
"No, he couldn't make it over." She replied nonchalantly. I almost swerved into the other lane when I heard this. "J, watch where you're going!" Addie yelled at me. Well what does she expect me to do when Scott assured me she doesn't have a boyfriend and it turns out she does. HUH! What's a guy supposed to do?
"oh really. Scott said you weren't seeing anyone?" Addie turned and faced me.
"Are you implying that I'm lying." I told her no, I wasn't implying anything. "Well you must be implying something to say that. Are you implying that I can't get a boyfriend."
"No. I was just curious." Addie rolled her eyes.
"At least I don't go out with airheads." She replied.
"are you insulting my girlfriend?" I shot back. As much as I disliked Grace right now I couldn't let Addie on that I didn't like her. Give her the satisfaction that I couldn't find anyone who measured up to her.
"Yeah, it seems that way. But it doesn't surprise me. You did always go for the dumb type. Needed to feel smarter than someone."
"I went out with you didn't I." Addie looked at me and narrowed her eyes.
"Are you calling me an airhead?"
"Yeah, it seems that way."
We sat around J's house deciding what to do next. We were all kinda disappointed. J and Addie were practically back together and we didn't get to do anything except humiliate Grace. That was fun, but we wanted more fun and excitement. Our planning session was interrupted by J storming into the house and slamming the front door. Looks like things just got interesting...
"Of all the insufferable, the nerve of her!" He started yelling all sorts of things. We could only imagine they were all about Addie. This was just getting better. Sean coaxed J to calm down and then tell us what happened.
Surprise, surprise. Addie and J got in a fight. Hehehehehe, we could work with this. Addie told J she had a boyfriend. I think operation:boyfriend hunt will be starting quite shortly. I then had an idea. We could always say Ritchie is Addie's boyfriend. I started working through this plan when my mobile went off. I swear, if it's my resteraunt, I'll kill them. I told them I did not want to be bothered today.
"Hallo?"
"Lori, it's Addie. Emergency girls meeting at my house ASAP. And if you bring Grace, I swear, I will not be responsible for what happens to her." Addie then hung up before I could say anything else to her.
"Val, Kelly. Addie needs us. Let's go." Val and Kelly got up quickly and followed me out the door.
"Huh, wait! Where are you girls going?" Abs grabbed me and jerked me back. I smiled at him. He could be so cute sometimes.
"Addie. She needs us. I'll see you later cutie." I kissed Abs quickly then left with the girls. I was guessing that Operation:boyfriend hunt was about to begin.
