3 years later....
Lori
“Uh-huh, yeah I understand, alright, hmm, sure thing, okay, you too, bye.” I hung up the phone after an unbelievably quick conversation with my friend Addie. She had called to see if Abs and I wanted tickets to her new movie premiere. It had already opened in America and was doing quite well. And for the London premiere she wanted her friends to come to it so I agreed we would.
“Hey Abs!” I yelled throughout the flat. “Addie and Scott’s new movie premieres in a month and we’re going!!!” Then out of nowhere Abs appeared.
“Wicked.” he grinned deviously at me. “You do know what we can do right?”
“Oh, I believe so.” I grinned just as deviously back. Hehehehe, boy would we ever have fun.
J
“Oh good, you’re home.” I rolled my eyes as soon as I heard the shrill voice of my girlfriend Grace. “I thought up this really cute way to redecorate the house.”
I wonder how many times she’s asked if we could redecorate and how many times I’ve said no. Addie decorated the house and I was determined to leave it exactly as she had left it.
“Sorry Grace, we’re not redecorating. I like it the way things are.” I told her as I got myself some water.
“But it’s my house too.” she whined. Hmm, I really need to break up with her sometime soon. All she does is whine.
“Who pays for everything here?” I asked her as I sifted through the pile of mail. Nothing good.
“You.” See I had won. “Oh yeah, Scott Robinson called today. He wanted you to call him back sometime. He’s in LA. Here’s his number.” She handed me a strip of paper. I hadn’t talked to Scott in awhile.
“Know what would be really great J, is if you could get us some tickets to his movie premiere next month.” I brushed her off while I waited for Scott to pick up the phone.
Scott
“Hey Addie, will you get that?” I called across the flat. The phone was ringing and I couldn’t get to it quick enough.
“Sure,” she yelled back and picked up the phone. “Hello. Scott Robinson’s flat of love. Scott is in the middle of a shag right now, how may I direct your call?” I heard her say. I quickly picked up the extension and heard the unmistakable laughter of J Brown.
“J, Jason Paul Brown is that you?” I asked. “Addie you can hang up the phone now, I got it. And I would appreciate if next time you didn’t answer like that. What if it had been my mom?”
“Bye love.” I heard J say before Addie hung up the phone.
“Bye J.” She replied. Hmm, I wonder if those two have even talked since their breakup?
Kelly
“Sean, guess what!” I yelled to him.
“Jeez Kel, you don’t have to yell. I’m right here in the room with you.” He replied. Something you should know about Sean, it doesn’t matter if you’re in the same room or not, he won’t hear you if you don’t yell. “Well what is it?”
“Supposedly Addie is coming back for a visit. I just got off the phone with Lori. See Addie is hooking Lori up with some passes to see her and Scott’s movie premiere next month.”
Obviously this news didn’t excite Sean very much because he went back to the piece of music he was working on.
“Sean, come on. Bask in this excitement with me.” I pleaded with him. He put down his pencil and stared back up at me.
“do you remember when Addie promised to be there at our wedding?” I nodded my head. “Do you remember how she didn’t make it. Same thing. All I’m saying is don’t get your hopes up.”
“yeah, well I still think she’s coming.” I told him before I left the room. Jeez, some people.
