chapter 25

~J~

Boring! Some of these interviews became so redundant. Asking the same dumb questions, over and over again. They hadn’t asked the most common one yet and I knew it was coming.

“So lads, tell us which one of you have girlfriends?” the interviewer asked.

“I’m going out with this girl Lori.” Abs said.

“And I’m with Lori’s roommate Kelly.” Sean added.

“I’m still with Billie Piper,” Ritchie said while dreamily staring off into space.

“Val’s my new girl’s name.” Scott eagerly said, jumping up and down in his chair.

“What about you J? You haven’t said anything.” The interviewer pointed out. And I was about to answer when Abs jumped in.

“J’s married. Just got married last night.” I felt my temper rising! How dare he!

The interviewer turned and looked at me. “Care to explain.” She asked me.

“I would love to explain. Somehow last night I ended up getting married to this girl Addie, the biggest pain in the arse ever, anyways we both were drunk and begged to have someone marry us. Well they did and we woke up this morning not knowing what had happened. But we’re planning on getting it annulled as soon as possible.”

The interviewer looked at me with one eyebrow raised. The lads were cracking up laughing at the thought of me and Addie married. Matt, our manager stood looking at me with shock, anger and confusion written all across his face. I knew I was in for it.

~Addie~

“This is all your fault. If you hadn’t gotten me drunk we would never be in this mess!” I yelled at J. We were driving into London to get our “marriage” annulled.

“Me!” J yelled back. “You were the one who gave the party. You supplied all the alcohol!”

“SO!” I shot back. Why did we have to keep fighting? Why couldn’t we just be friends? Why can’t we really be married? Wait, maybe not married but going together. Oh well, if fighting with him constantly meant keeping J close to me, I’d do it.

“So? You were probably the one with the brilliant idea to get married.”

“Whatever! You couldn’t be more wrong!” I turned into the parking lot of the building we were supposed to go to. We quickly got out and began walking inside.

“I still think it’s your fault.” J whispered in my ear as we waited in line. Finally it was our turn.

“We need to get this marriage annulled.” I pushed the marriage certificate at the man in front of us.

“Reason why?” He asked.

“We were drunk when we got married and can’t stand eachother.” J stated. The man looked at the certificate then looked at us. He then looked back down at the certificate.

“Are you two kids trying to play some kind of joke? This isn’t a real certificate. You two need to leave and stop wasting my time.” The man tour up the certificate and we walked outside and sat on the steps.

“It was fake?” I muttered.

“I guess. But why?”

“Cos our friends are a bunch of losers with nothing better to do than try to screw us over.” I told him. He nodded his head.

“Revenge?” J asked me.

“Revenge.” We got into my car and started planning the revenge to end all revenges.
