They sat there wondering what to do. None of them had ever been stuck in a lift before. "How about we use one of those phones that are always in movies that people use to call someone on?" Abs suggested. Everyone thought it was a good idea. So they began searching for a phone somewhere in the dark.
"I think I found it." Sean announced. He picked it up, but there was no answer and he kinda got the feeling the line was dead. "It's not working." That's when the lift started to feel shaky.
"Please tell me that was just someone trying to be funny." a scared Dot said. You could hear the fear in her voice. No one knew this but she had this weird fear of being stuck in a lift then plunging to her death. But no one said anything.
"Alright guys, think. What are we going to do? Let's use our heads." J stated trying to remain rational and calm. That's when Abs remembered they had mobiles and they could call Kaye. Ritchie dialed the number.
"Kaye, love, we're stuck in the elevator. Can you call your super and ask him to get us out please? Alright, later love." Ritchie hung up . "She's going to call, but all we can do is hang tight."
"Please don't say hang." Dot asked him.
"Well we have nothing else to do. Let's say we get to know eachother. I'll go first. My name is Richard Abidin Breen." Abs told everyone.
"Not now Abs. We're stuck in a lift. This is no time for games." Scott told him. The others agreed with him.
"I'll play with you Abs." Abbie told him. The two crept into a corner to begin their game.
With Kaye...
"What do you mean you can't do anything? Those are my friends in there!" Kaye yelled at her super on the phone.
"I'll telling you Kaye. It shows that nothing's wrong. Maybe your friends are just playing a joke on you. Now if you'll let me go, I have other things to attend to." He then hung up. Kaye turned off her phone and threw it across the room.
"See if I still live here after tonight!" She yelled. She then picked up the phone once more to call Ritchie and tell him what was going on. "Ritch, he says nothing's wrong. But I'm gonna get you out. Hang tight." She then hung up and began looking for supplies. After she had everything Kaye headed out her door and up the stairs to the next floor.
