Place Of Birth Somewhere in the Federated Commonwealth
History Born in October 3046 on a small planet somewhere in the Federated Commonwealth, Kurt spent his first 6 years with his mother. He never knew his father and his mother never talked about him. From an early age Kurt was interested in battle. On his 7th birthday tragedy struck however when a raiding party of Clan Omni Mechs attacked. Kurt was too young to take part in the battle obviously but as he and his mother fled the warzone a stray LRM struck the road almost right next to the car he was in. The explosion caused his mother to crash, killing her and leaving Kurt with a nasty scar across his left eye and cheek. Kurt was devestated at the loss of his mother and even as the Mechs fought within the city he swore he would one day avenge her death. The battle ended with the Clannersdestoryed, but half of the city lay in smoking ruins. Now an orphan Kurt quickly decided what he wanted to do with his life, he wanted to pilot one of the awesome machines that had killed his mother. He vowed he would learn as much as he could about all BattleMechs and as such quickly enrolled in military school. With the aid of locolgovornment Kurt got the finance he needed to become a trainee pilot and his career as a Mechwarrior began. His first Mech assignment was a 35 ton STO-4A Stiletto and at once he set his mind to master his new weapon. Quicky, Kurt picked up his piloting skills becoming a skilled marksman with his LRM's but was much better in close combat, prefering to get up close with his SRM's. He became top of his class quickly excelling in not only Mech combat, but hand-to-hand and infantry combat. In 3065 his planet was once again attacked. The Clanners were back attacking the city with force. Kurt sat in the cockpit of his Mech, wanting to help but his orders were strict however, he was under no circumstances to partake in the battle unless there was no alternative. As fate would have it, the clanners brought the fight right to the front doors of the Academy and all at once Kurt faced his first real combat experiance. With 2 other trainees Kurt stormed out, quickly out-flanking a clan Timberwolf. Kurt took a beating, being hammered by the Timberwolfs much superior firepower but he refused to back down relying on his speed to keep himself out of the fire. All at once the battle was over however as a precise hit from Kurt's SRM rack took the Timberwolf directly in the center of the Cockpit destroying it and toppling the mighty war-machine. A voice crackled to life over Kurt's Com system, plagued with static from the damage his mech had sustained. It was his trainer and mentor at the time. Kurt was injured, the heat in his mechs cockpit was almost unbearable and most of his systems were offline but through his heat filled haze Kurt made out the words, "Well done Kurt... *static*... call you Braveheart? That ..*static*..Madcat you just killed!" Kurt lasped into unconscienceness after that, his injurys forcing him into blissful sleep. After recovering, he was
blissful sleep. After recovering, he was graduated with honors and awarded a medal for his bravery in battle. He left then for Outreach, hoping to find a Merc unit that would take him on. Unfortunatly, no one was willing to give the young man a shot and so he left Outreach, disapointed, that was until he heard about the MRBC.
Personality Kurt craves knowledge about BattleMechs. Wishing to pilot every single one of them, he lacks experiance in most but is more than willing to spend as long as it needs to master any war-machine that his superiors place him in. He is a quick learner and very willing to listen to a more experianced pilot for anything that might increase his knowledge. He is somewhat shy when meeting new people, but in a situation where he feels his opinion might be vaild he is not afraid to give it. He will make friends easily being an easy going guy when out of his battle fatigues and holds his loyalties very fiercely. The only thing Kurt refuses to comment on is the death of his mother, only Kurt himself knows what happened in the last minutes of her life. The pain from his loss is evident anytime family is mentioned, even when it is not his own and he'll often be seen to leave the room when the word comes up. Kurt considers himself somewhat a loner most of the time prefering to spend his free hours in his room studingBattleMechs and Combat Doctrines rather than socialising but when friends come he will quickly turn his attention to them.
