| History | For all intensive purposes, Jackson Hale had no life before entering into service with the Eridani Light horse unit. He was saved by the unit after a raid on some small insignificant planet. Jackson was put into a coma from the raid and woke up with amnesia. The only thing he knew about himself was his name. The merc unit took him in and trained him in the fine art of war. Jackson took to it very well, as if he was born for it. He never fully recovered from his traumatic experience and is sometimes plagued with sudden fits of unconsciousness and random short-term memory loss. His abilities as a Mechwarrior are equaled only by his skills as a mechanic. He seemed to have a natural talent for working on mechs and usually acted as his own mechanic in the field as most of the techs refused to work with him. During the Clan invasion, Jackson had the thankless task of babysitting some crappy shit hole in the Free Worlds League. He was stuck on garrison duty until Task Force Serpent undertook the invasion of Clan Smoke Jaguar's home world. Suddenly Jackson was thrown into the front lines and with very little actual combat experience. He quickly became a battle hardened veteran and came out of the campaign with 3 Purple Hearts and 1 Uncommon Valor medal. He also managed to pick up several interesting Clan tech items along the way, including a Thor Battlemech. After Clan Smoke Jaguar was, "neutralized," Jackson came home to a very different scene. Katharine, now Archon Princess Katrina, had taken over Victor's throne in the Lyran Alliance. The members of Op Bull Dog and Task Force Serpent where broken up and many where pressured into an early retirement. Jackson, however was not ready to give up the fight. He joined an-up-and coming merc unit named Solo, headed by DamionMcKlain (Gray Fox). Their team quickly rose to relative fame and fortune during the FedCom civil war but was later decimated in a border dispute in the peripheries. Jackson drifted through the InnerSphere as a freelance mercenary taking on the odd job now and then to keep some alcohol on the table and eventually ended up at the Defiance Industries headquarters on Hesperus II. He spent two months on Hesperus II in an UzielBattlemech as part of a light cavalry unit. As luck would have it, Jackson was reunited with his old CO, McKlain, after a convoy support mission and decided to fallow his friend into the Crimson Legion. He is currently listed as absent without leave in the Defiance Industries guard roster after his Uziel was found powered down just outside of their main factory on Hesperus II. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Personality | Jackson Hale is a strong supporter of Prince Victor Davion and uses this fact as an excuse to get into fights as often a possible. Jackson is a somewhat reserved vagabond. Not much of a people person, he is known for getting very pissed off when sober but isn't worth a damn when drunk. Sense getting drunk in his line of work tends get people other than the enemy killed he usually has an unpleasant attitude toward people in general. This also has a tendency to manifest itself in raving bouts of foul language and the occasional burst of automated fire. Once it gets serious, however, he will not put up with anybody messing around with him or his friends. "Screw with me and I will kick your ass." Autpaxaut bellum.
