COLOUR:   RED.

ASSOCIATIONS: Relates to blood and circulation, motivation and stimulation, happiness and depression, sexuality, liver and lungs.

SELF HELP: Red energy is great for dealing with a cold.  At the first sign of a cold put on a pair of red socks or gloves.

IN THE HOME: Use red in active areas, not bedrooms or places where you need to relax.

COLOUR:   ORANGE.

ASSOCIATIONS: Relates to health, vitality, joy and creativity; increases levels of calcium in the body and is good for digestion, the liver, pancreas, bladder and lungs.

SELF HELP:   Sufferers of irritable bowel syndrome or constipation can try wearing orange trousers or underwear.

IN THE HOME:   Good for dining rooms or places where you entertain.

COLOUR: YELLOW.

ASSOCIATIONS:   A colour of cheerfulness.  Relates to the skin, nervous system, stomach, circulation, liver and gall bladder.  Good for arthritis, rheumatism and gout.

SELF HELP: Sunbathing is a great way to help loosen stiff joints- but dont forget the sunblock to guard against ultraviolet light;  you want only the yellow rays.

IN THE HOME:   Good for kitchens;  avoid using in the bedroom or work area.

COLOUR:    GREEN.

ASSOCIATIONS:   Soothes the emotions and offers a sense of freedom, harmony and renewal.  Particulary beneficial for the nervous system and call regeneration.

SELF HELP:   Chest complaints such as asthma, bronchitis and angina can be helped with a visit to the green countryside for a 'breath of fresh air'.  

IN THE HOME:    Good for kitchen or conservatory.

COLOUR:    TURQUOISE.

ASSOCIATIONS:   The colour of change.  Good for inflammatory conditions such as headaches, swellings cuts, bruises or burns as well as acne, psoriasis and eczema.

SELF HELP: To clear your sinuses or refresh your brain, try placing a torquoise silk scarf over your head as you relax, and imagine the congestion clearing.

IN THE HOME: Good colour for the kitchen , or bathroom and bedroom.

COLOUR:  BLUE.

ASSOCIATIONS:  
A colour of peace, harmony, strength and communiction.  Good for sunburn, throat problems, stress, migraine and childrens ailments.

SELF HELP: 
Blue is also excellent for menstrual problems.  A blue light left on overnight can help relieve and reduce period pain.

IN THE HOME:  
Good for bedrooms and office:  not vibrant enough for dining room or entertaining areas.

COLOUR:    VIOLET.

ASSOCIATIONS:   
A colour of psychic energy and vision.  Good for glandular and hormonal problems, neuralgia, eye, nose and ear problems.

SELF HELP:   
Visualizing and colour breathing violet can help improve your sight.

IN THE HOME:  
Lighter tints are good for bedrooms or study areas.

COLOUR:   MAGENTA.

ASSOCIATIONS: 
A colour representing spiritual love.  It increases blood supply to the brain, stimulates the nervous system and stabilizes aggressive behaviour.

SELF HELP:   
If you are tired, try wearing pink or magenta to increase energy levels.

IN THE HOME:  
Lighter shades are good for entrance halls and bedrooms.



Colour has a dramatic effect on the way we live, so it stands to reason that it can have
a great effect on our health.
COLOUR BREATHING:
Lie down or sit up with your spine relaxed and straight.  Breathe normally in a natural rhythm until your mind is clear of all thoughts.  Imagine yourself acting and feeling positive, select a colour and breathe in, visulizing the colour entering your solar plexus
(below the rib cage) and spreading throughout your body just beneath your skin.  As you breathe out, visualize the complementary colour.

RED:   Breathe in red for vitality.  It brings energy and increase sexuality, strength and will power.  Then breathe out turquoise.

ORANGE:  Breathe in orange for joy, happiness and fun.  Breathe out blue.

YELLOW:  Breathe in yellow to increase your objectivity and intellectual powers.  Breathe out violet.

GREEN:  Breathe in green to cleanse, to feel more balanced and to combat tumours.  Breathe out magenta.

TURQUOISE:  Breathe in turquoise to counteract inflammation and fever, and strengthen the immune system.  Breathe out red.

BLUE:   Breathe in blue for relaxation and peace, and in cases of sleeplessness.  Breathe out orange.

VIOLET:   Breathe in violet to increase self-respect and for feelings of dignity and beauty. Breathe out yellow.

MAGENTA:  Breathe in magenta to let go of any obsessional images, thoughts and reminiscences.  Breathe out green.
