Ah, yes...where to begin? A fair question

Once upon a time (maybe twice, tops), it all started on a dark and stormy night in an elevator, but doesn't it always? Anyway, two pregnant women get on an elevator one evening late in September 1959. An uneventful event, to be sure—happens all the time, right? Perfectly ordinary—until the power fails (insert dramatic music sting here). Two pregnant women trapped in an elevator! NOW what?!? The setup of some lame joke? The "plot" of a cheap porn loop? Or...a cosmic concurrence, fraught with historical signficance?

All that's known for certain is that these women spent a harrowing night trapped between floors, with only each other for company. Well, each other and their unborn sons, that is...

...and, of course, the muzak. The inevitable, insufferable, inescapable elevator music. Why, oh why was that stupid speaker wired to the backup generator? Think of it—hours locked in a box with elevator music! Only their devotion to their children kept them from suicide...and even then, they feared for the children's safety. How could they emerge unscathed? Surely they'd be scarred for life...

...and, of course, they were.
