Review of the 5/1/04 Gig at the Sanctuary
  by Liz Fine,

With there smart, insightful lyrics and melodious voices, they harmonize with each folksy anthem. The performance is solid and well rehearsed, there stage presence is honest making a clean connection with the audience with their politically charged folk-rock sound. I have seen them play against all odds. Faulty sound systems, lethargic audiences and each time they are so professional and entertaining.
LIVE REVIEW: THE AQUARIAN MAY 19th

Cathy Miller (C) 2004
With little fanfare, there appeared this troubadour onstage, a tall, tousled fellow with a clear voice, a guitar, and a lot to say: This was Evan Greer, currently from Swarthmore, originally from Boston, and often found at activist rallies in DC, Miami, and Philadelphia. The young, eloquent songwriter has been compared to both Woodie Guthrie and Bob Dylan, tackling such subjects as liberals, unions and human foibles, stating his case in three minutes or less. He pulled out some very old songs, like The Wobblie's anthem, "Dump the Bosses Off Your Back," the classic "Keep on Truckin' Mama," and his own humorous version of a Phil Ochs tune he called "Love Me I'm A Liberal," as well as a choice sampling of his own material. He was accompanied by Sally O'Brien, whose sweet and gentle voice lilted nicely behind Evan's strong vocals. He closed with "Solidarity Forever" and a hearty Happy May Day. His current CD is entitled

Review of "Santa Fe Song:"
by
Rey Varela
The first thing that comes to mind when the first words are sung ("Well the worlds been hard on him so he has taken it to town") is, hey this is classic folk as in the fabulous sixties.
The recording is of superb quality with just the right mix and the harmonica, when it kicks in during the break, is a treat. I could listen to this over and over again.
This is a great example of what the internet has to offer as I feel that Evan Greer is one of the best I've heard in this genre!
