Rules

Rules! About Rules! Read through them, do not skim.

Understand them; because if you suddenly do something wrong pertaining to the rules, then say 'I didn't know that, blah blah blah.' When a operator calls you on it; Then we know you are one to not only throw a rule away without a second glance, but you didn't respect us creators enough or bother to think of how it may affect your fellow players.

Such as us ops, suddenly having to be very strict; as in making up more rules just because one person decided to be ignorant and inconsiderate, especially over and over again.

Understand, we're nice and everything, but we're trying to run something that everyone can enjoy, not just ourselves.

So, All we ask is that you be considerate and read them. Thank you.

Character Rules: It may sound nuts, but allow your character to think for themselves, don't do anything you would do, that your character wouldn't do, unless you're roleplaying a self-insertation of yourself.

Try to be realistic in your roleplay; even if your character is in expert in something, remember that your character is just as human as you are; They can be hurt, they can slip up, especially if faced with something they had not been faced with before, not saying make your character weak but keep it in mind.

This rule applies even to characters who were Evairlast lab experiments, just because your character is stronger than a normal human being, doesn't mean they can't be hurt and you can make them 'god' like.

We don't tolerate god-moding, we don't make exceptions, we don't care if you're; A Friend, Family, or anything else that would make you think, we'll let you slide. It just won't happen.

Especially pertaining to blowing up a place just for the fun of it, unless it mixes in with the plot and storyline that may be going on at that time,

Example: Needing to bomb a place full of enemies, etc etc, but when out of storyline outbreak mode and that's done, it's not allowed.

Otherwise, realistically doing such would land your character in trouble with authorities or at least running from them; Evairlast Corp related characters, would most likely end up getting bailed out of it by the company but the character would still have to pay the consquences, just as anyone would in life.

Speed Fighting is not permitted, especially not when your character is involved with another character in battle or fight, turn base will be the only form accepted in fighting fighting, it makes the channel less messy with scrolling, and easier to follow.

We just find speed to be very disruptive.

If you and a another player's characters, have a hard time deciding the outcome of a battle, ask an op to be a stand by and decide the outcome of it. (Though, do as you and your character feel would happen.)

When an outcome is decided, remember you aren't the character, there for we suggest that you don't act like a sore loser, sure your character may act that way, but don't start unneeded drama over it.

Your character can not for any reason, kill another player's character without the permission of the player; If You do it anyway, the player and character are allowed to ignore the killing post.

Fights or Battles between characters for no reason, are unacceptable; unless both characters have some deep hate for one another otherwise it's unrealistic to have characters fighting all the time; there must be real reason.

Playing another player's character is unacceptable unless you have permission from the player, such as they must leave and your character is interacting with their's at that time, we suggest that you either ask, or allow your character to continue on without them.

If You want another character in the future, ops will decide if you can juggle another or not, depending on what we've seen from you; Talk to us about it, but don't bug us about it on a continuous basis; we will let you know when it's decided.

This doesn't mean you must play both characters at once either, if it is accepted; Though, playing two characters at once in a room is acceptable, just as long as you can handle it.

In relation to that rule. B.O.W characters aren't allowed till we feel the channel has developed good enough and us ops and the players know where each other is coming from, no one should start out as a B.O.W, character development is important.

There will be storylines and plots, yes it is also free form but this type of roleplay would get boring real fast, if we didn't have direction and entertainment in it.

If You choose to join in on them or not, is not our problem.

Mindlessly wandering through a city trying to escape all the time, or saving people heroically one handed is not how we want to go about things here.

Of course characters are free to roam where ever, whether there is a outbreak or not; to have a life etc etc, we just won't be repetitive in the whole escape 'scenerio'; Again, and again.

We ask that when involved in storylines and plots, that you as a player know better than to try and be a hero; everyone will be involved. That doesn't mean, your character can't be heroic, just no trying to overshadow all the other characters.

Players playing a bad guy, know that you can't suddenly go around killing characters and being a master of genocide, it ties in with the killing other people's characters without permission.

We really don't want characters from the games played here, we want originals but if you want to use the last name of a character, that's fine.

Channel Rules: The Channel is rated, R due to the themes, violence, horror and more than likely cursing; but romantic or sexual roleplay, is limited to a PG-13 level, because not everyone in the channel wants to see two characters screwing each others' brains out.

We want you to take somewhere else, such as private room or whisper; even if no one else is in the channel at that time, no one should have to leave the room just for your enjoyment.

Anyone against homosexual romance that may or may not occur on the channel; please keep crude and rude comments to yourself, if your character has something against it then fine, but keep in mind what your character would really do and say, not what you would do and say.

Try to keep ( OOC ) limited in the room, for those who want to talk outside of RP, can use the EINC-OOC room, if you prefer to just whisper then do tha.

Of Course, we all want to say something besides posting but constant OOC in the rp channel is just as disruptive as speed fighting.

We would apperciate proper grammar and spelling, mistakes are fine but we won't tolerate internet slang or shortening of words.

We don't think these characters, if they were real life people would say. "OMGZ NOEZZZZZ, U DIED!" Do you talk like that outside of roleplay? We don't mean, just on the internet but when talking to someone in person. No? Didn't think so. If Yes, ...How do you even understand yourself? Just curious. Though, we don't care if you talk like that in OOC, or OOC room.

Respect moderators and their authority, don't ignore them if they tell you something and don't act like some elite asshole who doesn't have to follow the rules, because we'll act like elite assholes right back by kicking or banning you, we don't spend all this time making up fun for everyone just so you can disrespect us.

Of Course, Moderators are not allowed for any reason whatsoever to abuse their power over players, wave around their power in a flashy manner, and discard the rules just because of the position they are given. We are to follow the same exact rules as everyone else, this means every last one.

The room owners, will make sure it's enforced upon the mods just as much as the players.

Make Note Ops: You can't kick a person based on the simple fact that you dislike them, it won't be tolerated at all. Don't pick drama fights with anyone either, We don't care how cool or 'tight' we are, We won't let behavior like that slide or make it appear as if what you have done is justified to the other players, it will result in distrust and loss of ops.

To Others: If a op has no real reason to kick you or ban you from the room, please e-mail [email protected], Subject Line should be 'OP Abuse'. Have at least two other people that saw the abuse on hand to 'testify' if you will, then Saturn and I will talk to the op and get both sides of the story.

Don't beg to become a op; we probably don't know you well enough and honestly you'd have to gain a hell of allot of trust of us to even have it considered.

First time breaking a rule, warning, then second warning where disallowed actions are repeated or any others, leading to a third warning. Next time, you'll be banned for a day, if you come back and it happens again. You'll be banned for good. Three strikes, invisible fourth base missed and you're out.

Suggestions

Descriptive Role players; we love description but try not to go over three cut posts, unless you are involved in helping a storyline along, such as you already have something written as requested by one of the ops, because then it means it's for the entire room to view and it has to be seen, in order to know what's going on.

Especially keep posts to a limit of three, when your character is interacting with other characters, in a real situation, you wouldn't be able to do so many actions while talking to others.

Don't gloat about how much you can post either, it only makes you look like an arse, seriously. Just as a person who gives short descriptions is looked at by allot of F.D rpers as poor rpers, actually going over such limits of posting is also considered bad rp, and not considerate to your fellow players.

To One Or Two Liner Rpers, please try to do at least four to five sentences, if you do allot of short one or two sentence posts too fast, it's flooding and scrolling up the room before people get a chance to view others' posts as well.

However, One Or Two Line Descriptions or longer short descriptons are acceptable, when characters are interacting with other characters. Anyone getting this? Got It? Good! Glad we're on the same page.

Though just a suggestion, just keep in mind a player may not be able to keep up with you, if you do more than that while interacting.

Never be afraid to share a storyline idea, that keeps in flow with the current storyline, ideas for bosses, monsters, viruses, etc etc.

Whisper Or E-mail, the ops, and we'll take it down into consideration, just do us a favour and don't try to pass something off that makes your character the star somehow; we won't accept things like that because we want everyone to be involved, each character gets their spotlight, and at times there will be characters who are the main attractions but, no one should go overshadowed.

Though we can't help it, if your character doesn't try to involve themselves.

Another thing, not every character can be a fearless witty all combat knowing person, try to go with a variety of personalities, the more realistic the characters, the better the role play becomes.

The stories don't just make the role play, the characters do as well.

We know, there will be a grand story going on in Rp, but there's always that character; We may favour, and we can't wait for the role player that owns them, to start playing them!

But if all characters were the same, the rp would get pretty dull, no matter how good the direction the story.

Last but not least: Let's try not to be super heroes, if a situation like this was real, outside of RP, I think we'd all be scared shitless, clinging to each other, sobbing and crying; Blair Witch Project style, though eventually we'd all get our heads together and kick some serious arse...or die trying.

Even though your character may have faced many horrifying things, tap deep into the human mind, and really think how he or she would react to a situation. Not saying, make your character a 'pussy' either, unless that's the kind of character you want.

Being a hero, doesn't mean wearing a cape, and saving everyone single handed; Keep that in mind.

That's enough suggestion for now, I'm sure there may be more in the future.

In Closing: We hope we don't have to add anymore rules than this; if we do then that only makes the rp harder for others, we just want to develop a grand role playing group of greatness.
