The Irish pre-selection this year was held by a program like Pop Idol and Operacion Triumfo called You're A Star, where a number of singers lived together in an academy and were trained by professionals. In the meantime people from home televoted people out of the academy.
The winner of You're A Star was Mickey Harte and he will be singing a song called We've got the World Tonight. Mickey Harte is a 29 year old full time singer and song writer.
