In special
Tumbling Stone is an on-line journal edited by the Spaceguard Foundation and
NEODys (Near Earth Objects Dynamics Site),
first published on
January 2001 under the auspices of the European Space Agency. It
addresses all
the major topics related to the study of the Minor Bodies of the Solar
System (comets, asteroids, meteors, transneptunian objects etc.) with the aim of delivering a correct
information to the
scientific community as well as to the media and the public at large.
Special attention is devoted to the treatment of the problems related
to the existence of the Near Earth Objects (NEO) population - i.e.
celestial bodies whose orbital evolution may imply a potential threat
of collision with our planet. Within this framework the Tumbling
Laughs
cartoons are hosted regularily by the journal.
