| Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Eta Tau Lambda Chapter P.O. Box 582 Akron, Ohio 44309 Since its founding on December 4,1906, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has stood for the ideals of justice, leadership and the general betterment of all men. The seven men who found Alpha at Cornell University at Ithaca, NY sought to create a community of men, who, in each other, found the strength to persevere and triumph over the racial and cultural oppression of their day. With more than 500 chapters in the United States and abroad, Alpha Phi Alpha is the largest and oldest Black Greek-letter organization in existence. The Eta Tau Lambda Chapter, founded at Akron, Ohio, August 23, 1960, has continued the long and illustrious tradition. The professional men who constitute its ranks come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We unite, however, in a common fraternal bond of love and commitment to excellence.
