"Let me get this straight. You fouled up, and now you want us to go back in time to eradicate those who have interferred with your plans in the past?"

"Correct."

Setting: Gaia. 5 years after the events of Final Fantasy IX and 5 years prior to the events in Summoners' Nightmare. This plot takes place after the events in Berserker which had been 30 years ahead of time of where we are right now. Confusing, huh?

Part 1: Back to the future, or to the future from the past!
Alas, the adventure has begun, or has it ended? Only one way to find out.
Here, we find our heroes baffled and confused as they witness their pasts from a different perspective.
Part 2: Reunions
After the massive confusion, most of our heroes have reunited. Bits and pieces of information lay scattered before them as they come to realize that they are, in fact, in the past and that Izagraiz has something to do with it. Chaonen Asia finally reunits with his lost love, Mystik.
Part 3: Carnival!
Lindblum hosts its annual carnival within the business district of the city. Our heroes relax and try to get a grip on things and enjoy the activities. They come to realize that interacting with their past selves may be dangerous so they avoid it at all costs. A mysterious black mage attempts to assassinate the past Chaonen but is foiled by the efforts of Leo Zweiber and Dagar. The black mage carries a gunpole which is not from this current timeline.
Young Mystik is about to give birth to Freedan's sisters, Calnique and Sprite. The black mage attempts to take her out before this is possible. This time, Cronimus and Saeru manage to subdue the black mage and get young Chaonen and Mystik to the medical center in time. Cronimus manages to pry information out of the black mage before his untimely death. "Escape..." emits from underneath the pointy hat.
Part 4: Tick...tock...escape! Our heroes did not heed the advise of the black mage and suffered the consequences. An army of cat-dragon creatues attacked our heroes from the future in an attempt to rid them from this time period. Saeru, Nemo, and the rest from the present time are unable to see the horde of creatures as they attacked. Da`at suffered the most out of this attack, for he is currently down for the count. Once again, Cronimus was able to pry information out of two talking cat-dragons known as, "Whispers."
According to these Whispers, they are the messengers of time. They exist only to rid those who do not belong in the current time period, and thus, must kill those from the future.
A mysterious fellow appears and commits a crime, framing Leo Zweiber. Leo is put into the Lindblum jail for acts he did not commit. With the help from Cronimus, Saeru, and others, Leo is saved.

Stuck in a rut, our heroes are confined to a local inn near the main enterance of Lindblum. The cat-dragons stare them down from outside, waiting for the opportunity to strike. Renin, a rough airship pirate offers our heroes help in a time of need even though he is a wanted pirate in Lindblum airspace.
Thanks to the efforts of Renin's crew, our heroes barely escape the terrifying claws of the cat-dragons and Lindblum's tremendous air fleet. Our next destination is Alexandria, where Alexandria's Paladin, Harper, pointed out that a kid named Iza was chanting tunes about Chaos, a name which sounds familiar to most.
