Prospective Girl Scout???

Girl Scout Troop 58 of Herrin, in observance of Girl Scout Week, recently presented a handmade quilt to a prospective Girl Scout and her mother.  Kate, the first child of Gery and Sherry, was the first girl from Herrin born during Girl Scout Week.  The quilt, made by the troop and embroidered in several different styles, was pink and white checked. Present for the presentation were Senior Scouts, Caroline Bruyns and Roberta Golliher, and Troop Adviser, Sue Lipe.

Mom and I receiving the Girl Scout's quilt.

And for all of you out there wondering Yes, I was a Girl Scout.  Was it fate or coincidence?  You decide.
