Eta Chi Gamma was founded on May 14, 2001 at the New York Institute of Technology Central Islip Campus, by five determined young women looking to make a difference.
It was created with the idea of developing a life long commitment among college females, who wish to strive towards academic excellence and full involvment in the campus community.
We strive to put down the stereotypical views that many people have of sororities. We are active members in our school community, attending events as well as hosting them.
We are looking forward to the new school year, as we hope to become even dtronger presence on the campus. Above all else, always keep in mind that it is not the number of people that are in an organization, as numbers don't matter, but rather how well that group of people work togther to achieve goals.
Eta Chi Gamma's main philantrophic organization is the National Multiple Sclerosis Association, Long Island Chapter. However we also support the Breast Cancer Association and participate in many of their fundraising walks. In addition we hold eduacationals on campus to inform students of what the diseases are and of their seriousness.
