YET ANOTHER YEAR ...
THE GOLF LADDER was founded in 2002 and therefore entered its 8th year. But the first match of this season is still to be played - the delay, as some people say, is due to adverse weather conditions. But now there are not more excuses because for the last week it looks like Spring has arrived.
Since MSG.43/2008 there are no significant news, apart from the decision we know and all regret: our Founder Members Carole and John B have decided to move to UK. We hope however to be able to have them with us during the forthcoming FUNDAY to take place, in principle, on Tuesday 17th March, with golf followed by the annual consecration event of the winners of 2008 [details to be circulated in the next few days].
To take Carole and John's positions you will be pleased to hear that Teresa and Hans M have now joined THE GOLF LADDER and this is already reflected on "POSITION" page. From my side, I am certain they will fit well within all the dominating nonsense and hopefully will understand the "RULES" - it does not make much difference if they don't..., as they will be on a par with the majority of the other CLIMBERS, isn't it?
To finalise, a propos of "RULES" we should all bear in mind
the "climbing up" and the "climbing down" principles, especially
when a Climber "is unavailable or turns down the challenge of a
contestant below him/her, within a period of 20 calendar days ..... he/she loses
his/her position, dropping to a lower step....
