The Republic of Eslo is a micronation founded in 1995 with the initial purpose of protecting the world's tropical rainforests. The protection of natural rainforests was only a first step towards what Eslo has become. With the rainforest preservation policies, came other interests such as commercial and socialdevelopment.
Therefore, Eslo began has grown into a policy-making and experimental body in not only environmental, but industrial, comercial, foreign, humanitarian, health, social, security, financial, and tourism issues.
