Typified by the 100 year old symbol of Pieštany – ašman breaking his crutch, who is standing at the begining of the Collonade bridge. Some of the patients come for the rejuvenating qualities of the waters and leave full of energy and the joy of motion, leaving with harmony in their minds.

Now something about accommodations facilities:

The Spa Hotel „ Thermia Palace" was established about 100 years ago and is considered to be one of the most beautiful Spa Hotels in Europe. It was, and is, ašplace for rest and ašmeeting place for higher classes.

The whole Balnea complex was completed in 1971 as ašspacious and good quality answer to the increase in demand for spa services in 1960s. The Balnea complex covers four hotels = Balnea Palace, Balnea Esplanade, Balnea Grand, Balnea Splendid. Grand and Splendid are hotel twins – sharing the same entrance, access to the balneotherapies, and most importantly the same high standard of services.

In 1960s, the number of visitors to Pieštany increased rapidly. There were not enough hotels, therapies and services. Guests needed new, modern spacious buildings so The Balnea Palace was built in 1968 there. The second Balnea Esplanade was built around the Balnea Palace, which is closest to the old core of the spa now.

Along the island, there is ašlong corridor containing all the therapies. The complex was later completed with ašsocial centre on the other side of the corridor. This unique complex was created, in which you can walk from ašprocedure to ašprocedure in your dressing gown without the need to change clothes.

Characteristics:

The Balnea Esplanade and Balnea Palace represent one hotel building at present. The difference is the quality of services, the older Palace is aš2 star hotel. The newer younger Esplanade is aš3 star hotel. Both of them have ašgreat location – they are situated on the Spa Island, in the middle of ašlarge well-kept spa park with exceptionally tall trees.

The rooms are very comfortable. If you belong ašgroup of workoholics, you can use ašsecretariat with ašfax machine, ašphotocopier, PC, internet. There is also dining room, cafés, ašnight bar, reading room, foreign language library, ašsafe, and exchange.

Ašgood quality of the services is guaranteed. You don´t have to be worried about communication problems – the stuff can speak English and German.

These spa hotels are particulary suitable for guests who want or need to have everything under one roof and who like comfort.
