If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter:
for he that is higher
than the highest
regardeth;
and there be higher than they.
I am saddened by what I see happening in America, in our society and especially in our government.  Our supreme court has run amock, making decisions that are not Biblical nor lawful based upon our Constitution.  There are rights to protect the lawless and criminal, but few to protect the innocent and the victem.  This government was supposed to be of the people and by the people, but our freeedoms are eroding in the name of self-protection and our representative republic is before our eyes becoming an oligarchy of courts and unelected judges.  It is sad, but as a Christian, I do not fret, I am not discouraged.  This world is not my home.  We are pilgrims and strangers here and Heaven is my home.  God is still Sovereign.  His judgment is not always swift, but it is sure.  Someday HE will make ALL THINGS right! Solomon, put it this way:
Ecclesiastes 5:8
Righteousness exhalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.       Proverbs 14:34
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;  Psalm 33:12a
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.                                                                                                                    II Chronicles 7:14
