Well, I have been a bad coder and have continued my wannabe streak.  Yes, I am all talk and no walk.  And damn the powers that be for creating Everquest.  <sigh>  Sony Online gave me a free download of Everquest, knowing full well that I would take the bait and reel me in.  And so they have.  And only by these stupid little quest!  They drive me crazy!  But yet, I can't get enough of it.  Perhaps Everquest should be known from now on "Evercrack".

Heh, enough babbling.  I haven't been doing much of anything, for the above whining.  The art is just gonna get me on this.  I want to do this project as nicely as I can.  However, until I round up some artists/programmers I don't think it will happen.  I will continue to attempt to create 3D objects.  Maybe if I have enough, it will give me incentive to learn DirectX.  I am taking an OpenGL class this fall.  I guess I'll have to wait till then.  <sigh>  I have many ambitions, perhaps too many for my skill level.

Oh well, see ya next time

Hmm, I really do hate a lot of stuff.  Yahoo Pagebuilder is one of them.  Oh but how I love the WYSIWYG!  And free is also good.  Alas, what am I to do?  Be lazy, yes....hhmmmm....yes, lazy I shall be. I guess I'll go with this till I lose something else.

But about the game design, it's coming along slowly.  I drew some rough pics of my duck and hunter.  They are both soo pathetic.  They will both go through many changes before I commit to them.  I also began to think I should change the setting to like a futuristic world where the duck is a cyborg and what have you.  I dunno though.  I think I might be making it harder than what it needs to be.

Thanks to alf fly on the
Game Maker forum for letting me know about Anim8tor.  Was messing around with that yesterday and it's a lot easier to use than Milkshape.  And I actually registered Milkshape to boot.  aye.  So I think I will try to create things in 3D.  I might even do a combo of 3D and 2D.  I'll see though.  Though any help will still be big boon!  :)

Oh well,  see ya'll later.

Well, here it is.  Another website created with no thought.  Well, there was some thought, though not much specially at 2am in the morning.  It is now 2pm in the afternoon now so I can now say that this turned out well.  Sorry for no graphics or what not.  Graphics take too much time to get right, for me anyway.  I'll slowly put stuff up.  I'm thinking of making a logo for my development group name.

This game I'm working on is coming along.  I've taken a small break to put up this skimpy website to chart my progress.  There are also the "small" breaks to watch
Invader Zim, the best damn show on TV!  No seriously!  Anyway, back to the game.  This is just one idea I thought would be easy enough to do by myself.  It will take a while to do as this isn't a text game, but I'll manage.

I've done some drawing of some background/foreground elements.  Not bad I would say.  I also tried doing a duck in 3D.  It looked nice till I screwed it up and I can't figure out how to fix it, yet.  I started another duck, but it eventually turned into a spaceship.  I don't know how that happened.

I am working on the design doc now so I can have something to look on while working on the programming.  After recently taking Software Engineering, I realize that having a good design document is a must.  I relied on it a bunch.  I think if I didn't have it, my program would have taken a few more days than what I had to finish it.

Well, I think that's enough for now.  Check back later.  There might be more.  heh
