Other Stuff You Might Want to Know

Registry
As declasse (imagine the accents ague giving sweet, sweet pronunciation to that word) as it is, we still want you to buy us presents several people have asked us to disseminate information about our registry. We are registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Amazon, and Macy's (where we have registered for china, if that's your thing). For you savvy netizens who would rather shop whilst in your underwear at home, all can be accessed online by clicking on the links in the previous sentence.

Stuff to Do
The official agenda involves three days of fun. On Thursday, we'll have the bachelor/bachelorette parties, which hopefully will begin around midday with some four-wheelin' and other wholesome, Oklahoma activities and will be followed by a night of hard partying. After we recover from about as much fun as you can have before the bars close at 2 AM, my parents will be hosting a wedding party only rehearsal dinner on Friday night. For those of you lucky enough to avoid mandatory attendance to said dinner, they will also be hosting in absentia an alternative dinner/party at my house. The wedding party will join the fun after their dinner is done.

If you find yourself hungry even after binging yourself on Gillian's and my families' dimes two nights in a row, we can suggest some great places to eat while in Oklahoma. For the best ice cream you'll ever have, fresh from Tuttle, Oklahoma, try any Braum's location (also the place Gillian, Erin, Richard, and I all had our first real jobs). It also has great hamburgers, fries, and limeades, all made fresh when you order. For greasier but equally excellent fare, try Sonic Drive-In, which has a great fountain, burgers, and onion rings. For the best Mexican food in Oklahoma, try Chelino's, which has several locations around Edmond and Oklahoma City all run and staffed my members of a large family. Great barbeque can be had at County Line, and if you're coming to Oklahoma for great French food (and who isn't?), try Metro Wine Bar and Bistro.

If you'd like to walk around and see what Oklahoma has to offer, there are unfortunately no places in Edmond. Oklahoma City, however, does actually have some interesting neighborhoods you can walk around. Bricktown is an interesting area located near downtown and has been the center of a huge revitalization project begun twenty years ago. The Paseo (the link is old but the information is still accurate) is an artists area with interesting architecture, shops, and cafes. On a more somber note, the Oklahoma City National Memorial, which commemorates those whose lives were taken on 19 April, 1995, is located at 620 N. Harvey in Oklahoma City.
