Info/Bio Erus the Grey is an amiable wizard who lives in the eastern part of the Lone Star Shire. As his name suggests, he is a grey wizard and is not fully experienced in his ways. He performs magic (actually, tricks through the simple use of chemistry) and has a number of chemistry spells written in his spellbook, which he attained from lady Greenwood's alchemy class (high school chemistry.) Because he is a friendly wizard, he rarely performs his tricks in the form of attack. They are handy to know though, as he lives just north of the land of the orcs. These pesky brutes dare not go against him and his knowledge in magecraft! |

| Weapons and Magic Weapons: One wizard's Staff. He attained it from a fallen tree, which he found in the dark wood. He has carved an eagle's head and talons at the top. He is currently adding on to it, and hopes to affix a light to the top of it, as did Master Gandalf the Grey in Lord of the Rings. Magic: Erus is able to perform a number of "spells" through the use of chemical mixtures, as well as through flame. He has few, but the number is growing. Lady Greenwood has taught him well. Here are several of his known spells: *Spell of green fire *Spell of shooting flame *Spell of glowing water *Spell of magic dust |

| About the Author AND
One final note The character of Erus the Grey is a fictitious character (no kidding) whom I, Hector, find much fun in pretending to be. It is inspired through my enjoyment of the world of fantasy. I have loved fantasy stories since I was very young; I read every one of C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia in elementary school, some even more than once. I also enjoyed the King's Quest computer game series by Sierra as a child. Now I enjoy Lord of the Rings, and play Nethack for fun. By the way, in case anybody wants to hear it, I hate Harry Potter. Don't get offended or anything, I just don't like the books. It's my opinion. So there. Stop yelling at me. Some of you may be interested in where I got the TOTALLY AWESOME-BAD background pattern and pictures and stuff. Well, I'll tell you. My head. Yep, I drew them all myself. Seriously. I am really big on originality, for the most part, and I don't like taking other people's stuff to use on my own website. If anyone wants to use them, please e-mail me and ask permission, and leave a credit on your web page to my site, so everyone will know they are mine. Also, some people may be asking if I really have a staff, costume, and a bad-cool bunch of chemicals I work with. The staff-yes. It is a bad-awesome staff, also harvested and carved by ME (originality, man!). The costume-no. Sorry, no. That's why I use the cartoon graphic man. The chemicals- mostly. My dad works at a plant and has a bunch of stuff in the garage. I have some formulas that allow me to synthetically create chemical compounds with the use of household material, but some chemicals I just don't have access to. Now for the messy part. I am quite aware of a feeling that most hard- core conservative christians have about the land of fantasy- both in stories and in games. You guessed it, they think they're evil. Even my father, a pastor, thinks this way. Let me tell you now that I do not, nor I daresay do any of the sources I have listed, promote the ACTUAL use of magic, or what ever you like to call it. I myself am a christian, and have my eyes open and aware to guard myself against the evil one. I would never play a game or read a book that involved or promoted the use of divination or conjuring the dead or telling the future or any of that stuff. That stuff is evil, and I stay away from it. But that doesn't mean that all fantasy stories and games are evil. I only pretend, because it is a fun way to escape, to get out of normal, everyday life and have an adventure. So I can have fun with "Erus the Grey" and still love the Lord Jesus at the same time. So, I guess I've said way too much about this, I will shut up now. Enjoy the site. |
