| Ila and Genene Ila had just celebrated her 96th Birthday | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The new owners of the house Alan and George have taken on a mammoth task when they bought this property. The house is in attrocious disrepair and they may be grey before they attain their dream. On the walls were around 12 layers of wall paper and when Alan got to the last layer in each room he retrieved small peices and stuck them in a excercise book . Now it has taken him 6 months to recreate by hand templates for the wallpaper and I tell you what they are excellent. They want to take the home back to original not restored . | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Even under the tin roof are the original shingles. Where Ila and Robert are standing is a big hole where Alan has been cleaning the years of built up cement off the flag stones. The problem was when the stones got rough instead of fixing them concrete was applied and as the concrete got rough another layer was applied. subseruently the home had rising damp as they had covered over the air vents at the bottom of the walls of the house | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The dead vine you see here took Alan 6 weeks to get off the house roof. It had taken over 3 quarters of the roof so just cutting the tendrels away was 2 jobs in itself .Then he had to chop through the base of the plant and pour poison in to it. It took many attempts before it was actually dead. now just another job to get up and take the rest away. But it is a question of what to do first. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
