| This Time, Wtih Feeling By Erin_Cale Disclaimer: See first part. Q and Q Jr. stood well out of the way, watching as Trance worked feverishly to save her dying mortal friend. Although they were silent, they really had no need to be since they had already made sure that the mortals could neither see them nor hear them. That left only Trance who could possibly be aware of their presence, but at the moment was far too concerned with her human friend to notice much of anything. Dad, why is she here really? I have never heard of a Q wanting to leave the continuum. Well, there was one, Q paused dramatically, a trait he had picked up from addressing mortals, but it wasnt her. She was exiled, Q my boy. What did she do? She didnt like the way that we were playing with mortal civilizations as if they were a childs plaything. She thought we should guide them, help them, not toy with them. Her ideas were considered radical back then and she almost started a civil war. So, finally, she was exiled. Little did we know while we let her keep her immortality but took away her powers, we were somehow giving her the ability to see through time. Now Q Jr. was confused. So why did you send me to talk with her? Because you should get to know her, or at least hear her side of the story. Why? Q finally tore his gaze away from the interesting scene playing out before them and looked at his son. My dear boy, youre to be her judge. *** |
