| This Time, With Feeling By Erin_Cale Disclaimer: See first part. *** Rommie had just started recharging, and Seven was about to go to sleep herself when she was finally informed that Trance needed back in the med. bay immediately. Relieved to escape from having to sleep in a bed that was so unlike her alcove back home, Seven changed directions and headed back toward where she was needed. No more than a few minutes away from the med. bay, she bumped into Tyr. For a moment, she wondered if he was following her again, but since she had told him to leave her alone a month earlier, he had followed her request. He offered her his hand, which she took with more than a little surprise showing on her normally neutral features. Thank you. His hand was warm and dry around hers and she found herself regretting that she had to pull her hand away. What is wrong with the boy do you think? he asked, suddenly. I do not know. However, I am on my way to the med. bay. Perhaps we can walk there together and both get some answers. Tyr nodded, more an elegant bow of the head than anything else. If you do not mind my company. Seven permitted herself a small smile. If I had not wanted your company, I would not have offered. Tyr smiled in return, a little surprised that she would actually want him around. Let us go then, my lady. Walking together, it took them less than three minutes to get to the med. bay. Once inside, Trance guided Seven to a chair so that she could sit down while the nanoprobes were extracted from her bloodstream. Tyr watched with fascination. He wondered if the little machines in Sevens blood could actually provide the medical miracle that they were looking for. Seven herself helped out by telling Trance what she needed to do in order to alter the nanoprobes. It was a process that would take a little under half an hour with the equipment that they had on hand, but all the simulations that Andromeda was running seemed to indicate that it would work. Since Seven and Trance were working on the nanoprobes, all Tyr could do was wait. *** |
