Trance looked up as the door opened and Rommie rushed in with Harper in her arms and Seven following close behind.
�Andromeda already told me what happened. Put him there.� She gestured to one of the infirmary cots. Rommie laid her charge down and stepped off to the side, out of the way but ready to help at a moments notice. Seven saw her opportunity to ask for an explanation as to what was going on and she took it.
�What happened to him?�
�He passed out while in my core personality�s mind.�
�I do not understand. You are an artificial intelligence. How could he be in your mind?�
Rommie pointed to the little circle of metal on Harper�s neck. �You see that data port on his neck? That gives him the ability to go into any computer, including AI matrices.�
�Really?�
Anything else that Rommie might have said was cut off by the appearance of her holographic persona.
�Dylan and Beka are back and they�re on their way to the infirmary.� Rommie nodded absentmindedly. When Seven looked at the hologram she just shrugged and shook her head slightly.
�You need to recharge, do you not?� Seven asked, directing her gaze back to Rommie.
�Yes, I do.�
�Then go recharge. Trance does not appear to require our assistance at this time. Also, Dylan and Beka will arrive in a moment and they will be able to assist Trance should she require it.�
Rommie finally tore her gaze away from her friend. �All right, but as soon as I�m finished recharging, I�m finding out how he contracted whatever this is.�
Seven nodded, wisely staying silent. As she followed Rommie out the door, Seven heard the hologram�s voice behind her saying, �Thank you.�
