My vote for the best pic of any pipe
organ would have to go to this pic, undoubtedly. The organ is
at the Chartres Cathedral in France. The original organ was built in
1475. In 1542-1551 Robert Fillcul enlarged the instrument and the case was
altered accordingly by the cabinet-makers R. Foubert and J. Bely, when this
magnificent case took on its basic appearance. The present instrument by Danion-Gonzalez
1971
