Resisting the G20: November 16-18th - Ottawa - Protests against the G20-IMF-WB meetings
The third meeting of the G-20 finance ministers and central bank governors will be held at the Government Conference Centre, 2 Rideau St., on November 16 and 17, 2001. According to an official press release, ministers and governors will discuss the role of the G-20 in the fight against terrorism and continue to examine ways to make the world less vulnerable to financial crises.
The International Monetary and Financial Committee of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Development Committee of the IMF and World Bank Group will also meet at the Government Conference Centre on November 17 and 18, 2001. On the map below, the Government Conference Centre can be seen, just opposite the Ch�teau Laurier.

In spite of the short lead time, plans for protests against these fundamentally undemocratic institutions have taken shape quickly and will certainly be large in scale.
