" Today God calls us to a New Moment" (full song text on right hand side of page) God indeed has called me to a new moment,to walk together in Gods people...specifically with Gods people in Costa Rica! On August 30, 2005 I set off for two years in Costa Rica. Sent through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Division for Global Mission (DGM) GM-2 program in response to a request from the Costa Rican Lutheran Church (ILCO) , I serve the ILCO in the area of communications. Along with spending time to get to know the amazing people in ILCOs various communities, my job is to act as a liason between the Lutheran church in Costa Rica and the (ELCA) Lutheran church in the United States, and to help build and strengthen the great friendship that has been and continues to be fomed between these two groups. I do this mainly by arranging and accompanying delegations from US churchs, camps or universities. My role is to, as the song states, help secure our union -our friendship extending across country lines- so that, together, we can walk and work together for a world of justice, peace, and love, as isloated, no one is capable. I invite you to join with me on this journey, whether in mind, spirit or body - by visiting Costa Rica or visiting this website- to walk together with me and the people in Costa Rica. You, also, are very important. Come!

Today God calls us to a new moment, to walk together with God`s people. It`s the hour to transform that which no longer gives; and isolated, no one is capable. Because of this, Come! Enter the circle with everyone, you, also, are very important. Come! It`s no longer possible to believe that everything is easy. There are many forces that produce death; give us pain, sadness and desolation. It`s necessary to reinforce our union. The force that makes today sprout with life works within us, giving us its grace: it`s God that invites us to work, God`s love to share and the forces to unite.
A Bit about Me I was born in Decorah, Iowa where I lived, eating lefse, until I began as a student at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. There I studied International Service and Spanish, and also humanities at Christ College. I had a great timeparticipating in Soul Purpose liturgical drama troupe, VU's ballroom dance club, and SALT (Social Action Leadership Team), the chapel's social justice organization, as well as playing cello and various other activities. I spent a semester in Spain, a summer in Chile (several other summers in Iowa at EWALU Camp), a Christmas in Papua New Guinea, and a few other travels inbetween. After graduating, I lived in Chicago for a year with the Lutheran Volunteer Corps working for two wonderful organizations: The Chicago Religious Leadership on Latin America and the Chicago Metropolitan Santuary Alliance. Next came Costa Rica...
