At any time, the Chairman may chose to create a special Committee to investigate matters of the the SLBT. The roles and responisibilties of the committees are assigned by the Chairman and must report directly back to the Board of Directors.
Committees do not have any special powers except in the areas of discovery and disclosure. These powers are assigned by the Chairman at the creation of the committee.
The committee members are assigned by the Chairman and may include any of the following individuals:
- Members of the Board of Directors
- Members of the SLBT
- Other Second Life Residents
- Real Life individuals (with justification and relevance)
The committees report directly to the Chairman of the Board of directors. Any reports, findings or recommendations must be submitted by the head of the committee to the Secretary for disclosure to the board of directors. All findings filed with the Secretary may be requested by any member of the SLBT.
All committees that are created will have a specific start and end date. After the end date has elapsed, all members of the committee may not disclose any matters or facts they have found during their tendure. The sole exception to this is a written authorization by the Chairman of Board of Directors.
