The treasurer's primary role is in the administration of funds related to the operation of the SLBT. In their role, all funds acquired thru the rental, sale or comission of works by the group shall be directly maintained by them.
The treasurer shall be a member of the board of directors and shall report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
The treasurer is responsible for the following:
- Collection of income
- Payement of all expenses
- Presentation of a quarterly report to the members of the SLBT at the quarterly meeting of the members
- Provision of a monthly report to the members of the board of directors
- Provision of reports apon request to the Chairman of the Board of Directors
At all times, the treasurer must follow the guidelines of the charter and the Finacial Regulations Directives (FRD) as maintained by the Chairman of the Board. The FRD is available to all members apon request.
As a part of their responsability to the SLBT, the treasurer must act in good faith and ensure there are no finacial discrepencies. As to ensure that all business is conducted in good faith, the treasurer is personally responsible for all finacial matters. If there are discrepencies in the finacial affairs of the SLBT, the treasurer may be held personally responsible as designated by the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Federal Laws of Canada.
