Web-Site Production

Jumping in

Starting with the Netscape Communicator, Navigator and Composer is never the wrong way, but we will learn very fast where the pitfalls and deficiencies lie.
The composer with its four views can be very convenient but the program lets you down as soon as you start with styles.
After every line it creates more and more CRs till the program and  OS breaks down.
I was looking for preferences or a program that is able to format HTML source code and can cleanup the code.
Deleting from line number to line number could none.
Not one could get rid of the 100,000 and more CRs etc.
There should be Formatting and Cleaning up Programs= FCP.
OS=Operating System,
CR=carriage return or enter key -code.
We all do not want to waste time and get angry about  bad programs like the composer. It should have built in FCP.

Purchasing everything  we can find in the market and the most expensive first,  is one way to get something to work with.
But for many of us: before we buy anything we try to find somthing that is free.
We collect catchwords, keywords, phrases to our topic of interest. Then we use search engines to collect more and to study the related subjects. The big book-sellers and software -sellers come next.

The real world is the best teacher and it gives us the real experiences.
We start with free sites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript,
than we go for more: form-processing, data-bases, CGI, MySQL, PHP, Perl ...

Articel

If someone wants to be useful and publishes articel in print  or online magazines dealing with web-site production,
then we must expect news about free articels, free software, free websites. Books are nearly never free.

What we do not get from authors we must find ourselves:
Google etc, Amazon etc.

Repetition:
OOP=Object Oriented Programming
API=Application Programmer's Interface
SQL=Structured Query Language

HTML=Hyper Text Markup Language
CSS=Cascading Style Sheets, to be embedded into HTML

JavaScript=scripting language, client side, to be embedded into HTML

CGI=Common Gateway Interface, they can be written in any programming language or scripting language, -most common Perl, PHP.
