02.10.05 - Some Thing

It appears that each continuing chapter of Mental Erasure is exponentially longer than the previous. The ending was figured out a long time ago, it's the execution that takes a bit. The inconsistencies are staggering. Par example, when do we ever see Mia use the remote control for her robots?? Also working on a new "tour" image for the main page. As you all can see, the Creature still has not mastered the art of legible handwriting. I sincerely apologize on its behalf. I suggested using a computer font for the dialogue but that would require effort, something we lack.

01.26.05 - Yes, the Release of the Nightbird

I trust you all have your grubby little hands on "Nightbird". Out with the old, in with the new; so we should have new comics. And maybe some new pages. Evan makes his sad debut! Watch this space.

01.19.05 - As the winter chill sets in...

We're slow and for that we apologize. Creature drew something but threw it out and now there's no telling when the next comic will go up. I hear Erasure will be touring soon in various locations around the world so that should keep us all excited. Not to mention the sneak-peek song list for the tour at the official site!

12.15.04 - [Out of Creature and Pessoa mode]

As this place is most definitely NOT the main source of Erasure news, I'm sure you've all heard about Andy. If not, here is a link to the statement at the official page. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish the best for Andy and encourage everyone to follow the link provided by Greg or visit the other myriad pages of HIV information available online. Of course, as Andy says "let's just get on with life". The comics will continue and I look forward to seeing Erasure on tour! :)

12.13.04 - TS&B

We have our copy of the Tank Swan and Balloon!!! The creature can't get over the pretty colors in the booklet. It's guarding the DVD like a mother gorilla with a baby. Hence, I haven't seen the actual footage yet. Still, it's something to document. I imagine the pictures will feed some ideas into its unsightly head.

11.24.04 - CREATURE BANGS HEAD AGAINST CAVE WALL DUE TO DVD DELAY

So the Tank Swan and The Third Thing DVD release date is delayed for the Yanks. Expect it on December 7th. Of 2005. (Kidding!)

Here's an excerpt from Greg's Erasure newsletter:

----------------------------------
// Breathe CD Maxi Single Details

The track listing of the North American release of Breathe (to be released on the 18th Jan 2005) is as follows:

1. Breathe - Radio Version
2. Breathe - Album Version
3. Gone Crazy
4. Mr. Gribber And His Amazing Cat
5. Breathe - Acoustic Version
6. Breathe - Pete Heller's Phela Mix*
7. Breathe - LMC Extended Club Mix
8. Breathe - When Andy Bell Met Manhattan Clique Extended Remix
9. Breathe - video (Enhanced CD Rom)
-----------------------------------

Now doesn't track 4 just ITCH for a comic of some sort?

11.19.04 - And you thought we were dead...

No, unfortunately for all the sane ones, we plan on continuing this little bit of madness for as long as the Creature's fingers hold out (though they are quite gnarled). As for the flying cans of soup, it's apparently a very happy memory from the Creature's past. What do you all think of Mia? I assure you she's as mentally stable as the rest of us. The Creature asked me to put dark shadows all about her face to make her look sinister even though I don't think she is. We'll see where the Creature takes all this.

Would people like to be emailed when there's a new comic up? I'm thinking of installing a small webform for the truly warped.

11.10.04 - Straight from Greg EIS:

"'Breathe' will be released in the US on the 11th January 2005, and the album 'Nightbird' will be released on the 25th January 2005."

Noted! Also, Breathe and TSB artwork can be found at erasureinfo.com but I'm not looking. I prefer to be blind when searching my semi-local record store. I'll just assume it's orange. The creature needs a new leash.

11.08.04 - Lazy like a hot summer day. We're slowly working on Mental E Part III. Also attempting to create small images you may link to, don't know how far we'll get with that. That Tank Swan and Balloon DVD is not coming quick enough.

11.02.04 - It's Election Day, Kids!

What this means is germs a-plenty. Be sure to wash your hands before and after voting. Did I mention Mental Erasure had 3 parts? Well, it does. It gets progressively worse (or better?). I'm not sure whether that will be the end of Mental E or not. There are other stories brewing in the Creature's head, none seem all that promising, but who knows? In the meantime, eat that Election Day enchilada.

10.27.04 - You are all too kind. No, really. This must emphasize the fact that these "drawings" are going straight to the intended audience: so how are your padded rooms? Comfy? Good.

For those in the vicinity of "Belfast", tickets for "Erasure" go on sale this Friday. Have fun for us. In other news, I'm sure you've all heard that the TS&B DVD will be released Nov.30 for the Yanks (not in time for T-day to scare relatives off) and Nov.22 for the UK'ers (lucky!).

Halloween is coming up and the Creature of course does not need a scary outfit. Please don't anyone TP my neighborhood this year. I've already got that taken care of.

10.25.04 - Oh dear... Greg EIS has heard of our crummy little site and has posted a link in the weekly Erasure newsletter. We are sincerely humbled and obviously not worthy. Thank you, Almighty Greg!!! Here's the snippet from the newsletter:

-------------
// Cool Erasure Web Link
It describes itself as "erasure comics for the mentally ill" and it's worth a look:

web: http://www.geocities.com/erasurecomics/

Plus it sums up the EIS Forum as "... a forum that will make you go mad.", which I quite liked!

Cheers!
Greg

10.21.04 - We want to get rid of the comics thumbnails. We don't like them anymore. Some look fuzzy; previews should not deter you. The layout will be changed when I can think of a better one, maybe within the next 5 years or 5 days. Yay, this site is part of the Mad As We Are webring! Now we're down with the hip crowd. :) This makes the creature dance.

As we all know the "Tank, Swan and Balloon" DVD will be delayed. I've forgotten the exact date. Apparently there was a glitch that caused some kind of flashing lights to occur on the screen, which were intended to brain-wash Erasure fans into buying multiple copies of the DVD (like upwards of 25 for no reason). This idea by Daniel Miller was shot down after Greg EIS saw it, vomited, convulsed and became overwhelmed with the urge to wear moon boots instead (a gesture which doesn't do much to help The Erasure Cause). So the wait will be worth it. Now is the time to buy Vince-ish sweaters. It's cold.

10.08.04 - Fellow Americans, will you vote?

The creature knows nothing about politics and is not registered to vote. I, however, am. Having been informed of all the issues relevant to my being, I intend to vote for the ugly one. No, the other one.

We are now working in tandem. Our ideas are sloppy (like our work). Mental Erasure Part II is actually based on a true story. A truly false one. Installments will come in spasmodic fits. I have been to Arlington Cemetery. That is about all I can remember.

10.05.04 - The Creature and I wish to extend our thanks to those who actually like what we are doing here. Hiatus is over; work seems to have resumed. Tiny installments of Mental Erasure Part II will be put up within the next few days. Guaranteed to deteriorate the mind.

09.09.04 - The Tank, the Swan and the Thing will be on DVD soon! This semi-old information renews the creature with vigor! Perhaps it'll start on something soon.

08.27.04 - We've received our merchandise from the EIS! This has awoken the creature and now it has a great Erasure eraser to work with (when it's not chewing on it). It grumbles some of its new ideas to me but it is all incomprehensible.

08.26.04 - The creature has slept an entire week and counting. I'm inclined to believe that it has gone into hibernation. Or it could just be incredibly lazy. It chews on pencils in its sleep.

This is some binary data that RobotVince gave to the
Creature. I still haven't cracked it yet.
