During
HSC, Prof. Mali
from Sahyadri Junior College was my inspiration. His subject
was 'Mathematics'. Due to his excellent teaching skills and
support, I get attracted towards Mathematics, which is
supposed as most difficult subject (!), and I decided to
take Engineering field as my career.
When I got
admitted to AmrutVahini College of Engineering in the
Department of Civil Engineering, my favorite teacher was
Prof. Bansode
and his subject was 'Engineering
Drawing'. His encouragement leads me to become a expert in
Drawings. In 2002 he joined
Indian Railways as Sectional Engineer, during his
Farewell he introduces me as a favorite student.
Prof. U S Kakade
was my inspiration when I came in touch with him during
'Sahitya Sharada'. Sahitya Sharada is a kind of wall
magazine published every week by students of AVCOE. I was
coordinator for that. His style of doing work is entirely
different and always thinks for the beneficial of students.
Currently he is a Professor in Physics Department at
Government
Engineering College at Karad.
Prof. U S Kakade
During second year of degree course I came in touch with
Prof. Kishor
Chobe
-The DON of AVCOE. He is very very
helpful person and always helped me during my bad period. He
was teacher of 'Transportation Engineering', due to his
excellent teaching skills, I got attracted toward the great
field of Transportation Engineering. At that time only I had
decided to pursue my PG in Transportation Engineering. He is
also responsible for building me as a leader.
Prof. Kishor Chobe
When I was in Third year, I was
impressed by
Dr. J
P George, who was HOD of Civil
Engineering Department (and currently Principal, MIT Alandi,
Pune)
and Mrs. Manisha George (pursuing PhD at IITB). Prof.
George taught us Structural courses like 'Strength of
Materials' & 'Theory of Structures' and Mrs. Manisha George
taught 'Fluid Mechanics' as well as 'Irrigation
Engineering'. They have excellent communication skills and
always encouraged me for MTech.
In 2005 I took
admission at IIT Kanpur for MTech in Transportation System
Engineering and I had taken a course- 'Optimization in
Engineering Design' and the great teacher was
Dr. K Deb, who received 'Shanti
Swarup Bhatnagar' award from Honorable Prime Minister of
India in 2005. I was not brilliant student in his course but
his teaching attracted me in the field of Optimization.
At IIT Kanpur,
another courses were 'Traffic Engineering' and 'Analysis of
Transportation System' which was taught by
Dr. Partha Chakroborty, He always
tried to make best engineers as a product of IITK, and
according to me, he is successful in that.
Last, but not least
I am inspired by my Thesis Supervisor,
Dr.
Animesh Das, who is expert in Pavement Engineering. His
teaching is very friendly and most important thing which I
learned from him is 'to learn the concepts', not theory. He
taught us 'Airport systems planning and Design' and
'Analysis and Design of Pavement Systems'.
