Operation Clearwater 2001

Enterococci will be counted this summer.  The Environmental Protection Agency has determined that this bacterial indicator is more closely correlated with gastrointestinal problems associated with swimming than is the fecal coliform count.  The cutoff point for recommended swimming is 35 enterococci/100 ml water.  I have highlighted in red all counts that do not meet the recommended level.
