Hello people. Due to network problems I have been unable to update as often as I would have liked.This is likely to continue for sometime so I will be able to only update during the weekends.
As expected we are now throught to the semifinals of the UCL for the first time in our history.
There we face a Villareal side who, atleast on paper seem weaker than us. My only fear is that having been the underdogs against Real Madrid and Juventus we performed exeptionally. But now that we are favourites to reach the final a bit of complacency may creep in. Ofcourse Mr Wenger will see to it that does not happen. Villareal have been struggling domestically so they are not going to be easy to beat as they are as hungry as us for success. We will need to work out some kind of a strategy to keep the dangerous Riquelme at bay.Even though we probably will not be able to shut him out completely due to his exeptional skills Fabregas and Giberto will have to work hard to make life difficult for him.One way or the other I expect us to go through after a cracker of a contest in the two legs. The other semi finals where Barcelona face AC Milan is bound to be a cracker of a contest. It will be the flair of Barca versus the organisation of Milan. I hope for our sake Barca go through because they seem more suited to our playing style and will give us some space unlike Milan, who have the players to shut us out completely. And also if Milan go through they are likely to give everything given the age of some of their players it could be their last chance and they dont want to leave with the memory of the humiliating defeat to Liverpool in Turkey last year.
This Sunday we face the in form United at Old Trafford. Instead of the usual title decider this game usually is, this time it is us playing for the champions league spot and them trying to narrow the gap in case Chelsea slip up. In many ways an important game for both teams.This one is difficult to predict and many are likely to go for predicting a draw.But something tells me that there will be a winner and my luck in predictions has been pretty good lately.And hopefully that will be us though by a narrow margin.Guess thats all for today.Be sure to check for updates tomorrow.Thanks for Illuvitar and Chris who were the first to give their opinion on the site on my guestbook.
