RFM hospital, Swaziland: Me with the first baby I ever delivered (I'm the one in the white coat and stethoscope).  I use the term "delivered" quite loosely, since I really sorta just caught it while the midwife told me what to do.  But hey - not fumbling the newborn deserves a little credit.
Sunrise in the Namib Desert.  Very cool place, but completely devoid of witty quips.
This hippo skull, obviously posessed by some kind of muti (evil magic), attacked my head while I was visiting the Mlilwane Nature Reserve in Swaziland.  At the exact moment the securtiy cameras took this frame, the excrutiating pain had caused me to loose conciousness.  Fortunately, I later managed to rouse myself from a coma-like state and beat the monster into submission with my fists.  It's a good thing I've got a thick skull.
