suggestions

The Epicenterfitness club includes many beneficial features, but it is far from perfect. There are some aspects of the club and its facilities that the management needs to improve. The topics below describe some of them and provide suggestions for their amelioration.

Cardio Theater Television System

There is at least one serious problem and deficiency with the cardio theater television system. The management hasn't seen fit to invest in this very important aspect of a good cardiovascular training experience. During the startup phase, the club's management advertised that it was going to have a state of the art system, that would be superior to the systems at other local clubs. The problem is that, although each cardio training station has its own display, the central satellite television system only has half a dozen receivers. Consequently there are only half a dozen television channels to choose from. In comparison, although its biggest competitor only has multiple group televisions, the competition at least has sixty channels to choose from and it is almost always possible to find a television located near one's workout station that can be changed.

The management at Epicenter Fitness really must invest in enough satellite receivers to provide an adequate number of channels to people who want to watch television doing a long run on a treadmill or elliptical trainer. Although their systems include DVD and music CD facilities, sometimes there is no substitute for being able to watch major network television while running on an elliptical trainer at the fitness club, rather than being a couch potato at home.

House Music

This is an area where many fitness clubs haven't kept up with and adjusted to changing technology and cultural times. When fitness clubs first became popular in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, they needed to have house music on public address systems because people didn't have today's portable music listening technology. One glance around any fitness club, including Epicenterfitness and its obvious that people listening to music are listening to it on their own mp3 players and cd players.   The house music is an annoyance. It is too loud and whatever music service epicenterfitness subscribes to plays some of the worst top forty pop oldies that should never be assaulting any fitness aficionado's ears.
